2007 Audi A8 L quattro 4dr Sedan AWD (4.2L 8cyl 6A)
I bought this CPO 2007 Audi A8L with 33,000 miles on it and have had nothing but headaches since owning it. It has been in the shop 4 times in less than a year for numerous electrical problems. The Audi A8 customer service line is a complete waste of time as they do nothing, but come up with excuse after excuse as to why the car is not performing as it should. We have had 2 aluminum wheel failures where the tire immediately loses pressure. One of these episodes almost caused my wife to be in a serious car crash on the highway. Audi says it is still safe and I completely disagree. I am now in the process of selling and getting a more reliable car (Mercedes or BMW)
Aluminum wheels dont just "fail" but to claim two failures certainly indicates the wheels were damaged by a driver, probably by hitting a curb.
This car has low profile tires which does indeed make the wheels quite vulnerable to damage when striking a curb, even at very low speeds.
I for one, do not believe this is an honest review and should never have been posted.
If you want a better riding experience i am sorry to say BMW and MB are not going to cut it and the cost of repairs will make you cry compared to Audi, I suggest you go to the other side Lexus or infinity or support America and buy American .. you want to play with the big boys you pay for the pleasure its not a cheap mans toy neither is BMW or MB .. Good luck but i am glade to read your review i like to hear the bad and good but i have to say i have not heard to many complaints with Audi and i have only heard good things about there service and the cost of maintenance
.. I cant say that for Mercedes or BMW talk about [non-permissible content removed] service and cost that will kill
