    The new 2008 A8 is a minor re-style. There isn't a new 2008 A8 on a dealers lot right now. The offical release won't be until November. There's usually no incentives on A8 leases.     Got the dealership to $42k for a 07 Certified A8 (48k miles, luxury package, backup camera, winter package, steering wood kit, alcantera trim). Is that a good price (was listed for $45.5k). In Atlanta, the 2007 Certified A8s are ~3.5K more than a comparable BMW 750Li. The Audi dealerships are not able to match the BMW prices. Any idea what's going on?     Don't count on great leasing deals on the 2007 A8 as time goes by. The new 08 A8 models won't be here until late October or November at the earliest. The A8/S8 is currently the only car that has no year end dealer cash or special financing incentives.     I have several friends with older 1998-2003 audi's of various models (with moderate mileage - about 60k), they often complain or electrical gremlins and various other component failures with their cars. I'm looking for feedback from 2006/2007 A8 owners and their reliability experiences.

    What you were told is correct, orm1. Audi Financial Services' Premier Purchase Program is what is known as a balloon note program. Balloon notes use interest rates instead of money factors to calculate the interest portion of payments.     A8's are in extremely short supply and there are very few on dealer lots right now depending on the region you live in. Audi doesn't have to really push this car int the US market with inventory levels so low, so that's why the residuals are pretty bad right now.

    Audi gives you a limited warranty for 2 yrs and up to 100k miles from original in-service date. Example: 2007 A8, 23k miles, originally sold 12/30/06, resold as CPO vehicle. New owner has full factory warranty until 12/30/10 or 50k miles. Whenever either milestone is reached (4 yrs/50k miles), the CPO warranty kicks in.     technar, The A8 doesn't have the S line treatments with the more agressive front end, steering wheel stitching, different wood or metal trim, and S line badges like the A3, A4, A6, & Q7. The A8 has a sport pacakge, but it's only upgraded wheels & sport suspension.

    I don't think a sport package does anything to the residual on an A8. The S line cars do have a slightly lower residual in the A4's, but there is no S line A8.

    I agree with Doc and it seems we are in good company as the LS out sold the A8 in the U.S. by about 10 to 1 in Jan 2007: LS--3005 A8--303 Say what you want about sales but Audi would love to have those 3000 sales instead of 300. Looks like quite a few people actually test drove the LS and liked it.
