What's New for 2002
Audi will introduce the second generation of its flagship sedan next year, so 2002 sees only minor changes. Among them is a standard in-dash six-disc CD changer, OnStar telematics system as an option, an improved stability control system and updated navigation system software.

fun. fun. fun. esp for such a large luxury sedan. we wanted a high performance car as well as something large enough to travel with small children. I cannot say enough about the performance for such a large vehicle. this car purrs like a cat at 2500-2800 rpm (95 mph) which is about the perfect cruising speed. Too bad we dont have an autobahn. fuel economy is good 17.5 in town 25.5 hwy w/ lead foot. minimal upkeep, great service and the finish/ trim is immaculate, even after 2 yrs
Favorite Features
sporty feel for size, responsive transmission, excellent sound system, love quattro system. Some of my buddies build for nascar and they tell me this car is awesome for its size in terms of handling and performance
Suggested Improvements
sporty ride could be toned down a little in favor of luxury feel. did not like the dunlop tires that came on the vehicle

Review
The best car I've ever owned. Not as quiet and as functionally/logically laid-out as the Lexus (wife's). Fun to drive, excellent fuel economy and one seldom sees another one.

Cruise control too funque--poor design. Auto down/up windows too touchy. Why won't the doors swing open easily?? It's like trying to open something spring-loaded to remain shut!!??

Review
Wanted a full-sized luxury sedan but RWD BMW 7-series too risky for midwest winters. Went with A8L because of 4WD. Very happy with car. Definitely more comfortable seats than MB S430. Original tires were Dunlop 8000 performance tires but ride was too rough so dealer switched them to Toyo and ride much better. Will get much better milage with 18" wheels but less ride comfort. I'm getting 22mpg city and 29mpg highway! There's nothing this car can't do. It's awesome!
Favorite Features
Definitely the heated steering wheel and seats. They're so cozy you can't wait to get in the car in the winter. The center dash display is also very informative, useful and convenient.
Suggested Improvements
The only things I hope they've added to the '04 are Auto-on headlights, rain-sensing wipers. They should also change their "one-touch" open/close window switches. They can be "touchy" to operate.

Absolutely the best luxury car on teh market. Those that know, own an A8. I have owned a 740i and this car excels in every way the BMW could not.

Review
The car is beautiful on the inside, but, the outside design is somewhat bland. The car handles wonderfully and is a lot of fun to drive, especially in sport mode.
Favorite Features
The sport mode makes it worth the money. When a car that big and comfortable, can be so quick, it is a win-win situation.
Suggested Improvements
The exterior could be improvised, something closer to the Mercedes S-Type would be awesome.
