Review
I've driven Mercedes, Lexus, BMW's,
Cadillac's, and although some of them
had more gadgets, more power or were
more quiet, none of them felt as solid
and rigid as the 2001 Audi A8. Personally, the
rarity of this vehicle is a big plus
for me, and that is complemented by a
solid ride, more than average
comfort and very acceptable
performance for such a heavy car, not
to mention the Quattro, which shines
in every aspect. Its fuel economy is not
great, but frankly which car in this
category gives more than 15 mpg. This
car may not be a rocket, or turn
on a dime, but whatever
performance number it reaches, it does
in a very smooth and effortless way.
Add to this a warranty until 2007 or
100,000 miles.

Review
Bought the car a little over a year
ago while still under warranty. Just
past 50k miles, so no longer will get
free maintenance. Very good driving
car. Everyone who gets in it marvels
at how smooth and quiet the ride is.
Absolutely excellent in the snow.
Great on the highway for long rides.
Only had to replace a tie rod which I
think got damaged when a hit a wicked
pot hole in NYC. Love the sound
system. Could use more cup holders,
which I think was done with new '04
model. Will definitely consider buying
another one in a few years...and
that's unusual for me to get the same
car again. Says something about this
car.

Review
I took this car for test drive and had
to have it. That 310 HP V8 is just
awesome - powerful, smooth and very
quiet. I cruise at 90-100 mph and can
barely hear the engine running.

Car drives like a dream. Its a little
slow off the line, but when it gets
going, wow! Lots of room and many
upgrades. You must consider when,
looking in the large sedan category.

this car is right there with them.
This is pure heaven. My warranty goes
until 2007. what a deal.

I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THE CAR AGAIN!
The car rattles badly. the dealer
admits to the rattles privitely but
admits they can`t fix them.The car has
been in the shop for so many days I
lost count.Other problems included
multiple electronic failures, gas gauge
failure, acceleration override problems
where the engine management system
retards acceleration when you move
quickly from the brake to the
accelerator before the brake pedel
contacts a relay that allows the
accelerator to engage. No help from
audi to correct the problem has been
forthcoming, in spite of dealing with
high level customer service personel
