When you get right down to it... almost every accident is the result of human stupidity, carelessness, inattention, or lack of skill. Personally, I don't believe there are any "accidents". Most are "caused" by driver stupidity and lack of skill. Well, the word "accident" just implies that whoever was at fault was not intentionally trying to injure the other driver. I've heard the "I've been to a driver training school, or ... Read More

Thanks for the input! :) I've definitely heard people say its cold, but to be honest, I don't get that same vibe. I love the exterior design, I always have, its edgy and aggressive. That's not to say I don't love the previous generation 5 series look, its just different. And the interior is fantastic (except for interior storage space) with excellent quality materials and superb attention to detail. You need ... Read More

Great choice, the 535i is a fantastic car, definitely my favorite car in the segment. Very good write up on the various current mid-sizers. I agree with almost all of your points, but I've never been a fan of the current 5. I really liked the old 540i Sport and the old M5, but the current 5 just leaves me cold. Curious, were the A6 models you tested equipped with the ... Read More

Midsize Luxury Sports Sedans: Great choice, the 535i is a fantastic car, definitely my favorite car in the segment. I picked up a 535xi last summer. After driving all the cars in the segment (except the Jag XF, but I'm not really a Jag fan) I easily picked the 535xi which I was fairly confident I was going to pick when I started. The M35x, although the 2nd best performer I ... Read More

Here is my question, i have been test driving 2006/5 RL's with around 35-38k miles and the $22-$24k price range. It seems like a nice car, but it is a bit tighter inside then the M. Does anyone have suggestions for other cars to look at? I really want AWD, and need to transport my family of 4. I assume you're not interested in just buying out your M35X? It seems ... Read More

Hi cotterm. Are these really 2006 models? I ask because Audi is no longer providing support on leases of '06 models. I suspect that you are talking about 2007 models. Let me know and I'll tell you what I think. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum

Hi arm_jan. The money factor that you were quoted for this car is too high. Audi Financial Services' buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2007 A6 3.2 Sedan without quattro is only .00025 with the payment of a security deposit at lease signing and .00040 with the security deposit waived. HI MEADOEL, Audi is giving the dealerships $4,000 for selling a 2007 A6. When you figure the profit , difference between the MSRP and invoice, over $4,000. Then the dealer takes off their actual cost and gives the rest to the buyer. I.E. $4,000 factory money plus $3,500 +- profit after deducting the cost of pre-delivery (PDI), flooring and detailing with some advertising per vehicle. In my example $500. You get ... Read More

Written by: kring5 on Jul 2, 2007 1:50:49 PM
Those two cars don't compare very well. the Audi is nearly $10K more then the G35. it's considerably more of a car the the infiniti. But what comes with the Audi is mediocre reliability and a very poor resale value. If price isn't an issue I would take the A6 over the G35 as long as the Audi comes with a full warranty. Audi's are also tanks (in a good way) ... Read More

Well, for one, I'd knock Quattro of your Pro list. I think the G35x has much more to offer here. It's RWD when the roads are clear, offering incredible handling, and AWD when you need it. In "Snow Mode", it pushes 50% of it's power to the front wheels, making it great in the snow, so no worries there. As for mileage, the Audi may get a slight nod, but it's ... Read More

2007 Infiniti G35x VS. 2006 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro

Re: I love my 2005 A6. . .and. . . [kgary]
Written by: markcincinnati on May 28, 2007 8:01:59 AM
One of the "benefits" of having a 2005 with about 35,000 miles on it is the use of the newest A6's as "loaners." The loaners, typically, are 3.2's w/a "few" options, Premium, Sunroof, etc. They are not typically S-Line or V8's. So, one gets the use of an A6 from time to time that is "brand new." I kept my last loaner about 26 hours, and other than the digital readout ... Read More

It depends on which Audi you're trying to lease. The A6 lease deals are kinda average, but the 2007 A4 has the best lease deal on the market right now. 369/mo for a 2.0 Quattro with just over a 1,000 due @ signing. The same 3 series or c class MB will cost you a lot more. And Audi had a record sales month in Novemeber, so it's hard to say ... Read More
