Solid performance and an elegant cabin design make the A6 a worthy competitor in the luxury sedan class, but BMW's 5 Series is more athletic and Mercedes carries more brand cachet, so it can't be called a class leader just yet.

Bought the car for my wife and we both love it. The ride is great, and the cabin is first class. When I walk by it I can't help but stare at it. Had one problem bad brake light switch caused alarms, but $100 fix. Now I'm looking for the A6 4.2 V8 for me. Mercedes are so bland and BMW's are ugly. If you want a great car that makes you happy every time you drive it, buy Audi.

The Audi A6 3.0 is designed for speed and
comfort. The car handles quite well on
curves and seems to hug to road. Its color
combinations are great --- I have the
bluish grey exterior with the black
leather interior. I love the bose
radio/CD. The sound is lush and can be
cranked up without a loss of clarity.
The instrument panel looks great. With
everything within reach. The gas pedal
and the brake are a little too close
together and causes a promblem with
this size 11 foot. That is the only
negative I have about the car. Wheels
are alloy and look great when shined
up. I also have the tiptronic
transmission which gives you extra
acceleration. This car definitely
compares favorably with BMW.

Just picked up a A6 Quattro 3.0
yesterday. Prem, cold pkgs., and 17"
wheels and tires. $2500 incentive plus
$1000 Audi Loyalty got me out the door
at $35300. Edmunds you missed the
incentives!!! Thank goodness they
wanted to move the '04's
