Windows and Doors can not open
I have a 1999 Audi A6 salon car. The sunroof and windows don't operate any longer. The alram does not work. Has anyone had this problem and if so what can I do to fix it?

I have a 1999 Audi A6 and I was told by my Audi mechanic that the transmission fluid/filter can only be changed by removing the transmission casing and adding fluid. You should be able to find a maintenance book at a site called partstrain.com or on ebay.

What engine did you get? If it is the 2.7T, you are probably in for engine trouble. Regardless of the engine you are probably in for suspension problems with that mileage.

Help, is anyone out there? I just brought a 1999 Audi A6 Wagon on 3-3-08. I'm wondering is it going to give me trouble. Is it a good car or because of the year and mileage, is it worth my while. ABS/BRake warning light goes in while driving
What does it mean when the ABS and Brake light go on occassionally while I'm driving? Is this something that's an easy fix (i.e., fuse, brake fluid) or do I have to haul it off to the repair shop (again). Any advice is good advice. Thansk! 1999 Audi A6 Quattro 89000 miles

Just paid $459 for the serpentine belt & tensioner repair on my Audi A6. Is this a fair price? Wholesale parts were less than $80 - but okay, so the local 'non-Audi' dealer made a few dollars ... looks like a bit of labor to reach this system. Any comparable costs out there? Run away from this scenario. The 2.7T is a great performing engine -- the 2001 may have some parts issues that, although probably able to be CPO'd to 100K or 2 years, still makes a newer car less money. The 4.2 is faster, the 2.7T is quicker -- yet, in the US, they are equally fast as they are top speed limited to 130mph. Virtually all of my Audis have had brake squeaks. The 1999, 2000 and 2001 have been the only exceptions (A6 2.8, A6 4.2, A6 4.2 in that order). So what did Audi do with their option packages, from 1999 to 2000? I have a 2000 A6 Avant. No auto dimming mirrors included with the sunroof package, as compared to the '99 model year. I am looking to purchase my first Audi in the upcoming month but I am having trouble on deciding which to get, A 1998 A8 with 50-60K miles or an 1999 A6 with 30-40k miles. The A8 is bigger more luxiourus, etc, etc but the A6 is newer and has less miles. Would anyone that has had one or both of these give me hand on which to get?
