I have a 2007 A4 2.0T with the same problem. Burn about 1 quart every 2000 miles since the first 3000 miles of use. I have 9400 miles on the car. The problem is with the PCV valve which tends to fail, thus allowing the high pressure from the intake manifold to leak into the crankcase when the turbo is activated. Last Monday, I turned in my 2007 A4 2.0T Quattro Auto for a 2009 A4 2.0T Quattro Auto in the Premium Plus version. I was amazingly able to take advantage of Audi's lease pull-ahead program -- I was coming up on my next 3 payments and was able to avoid those, plus got $2,500 towards the new A4 -- plus I was able to negotiate in a nice discount off MSRP and get Audi Care included ... I bouught my 2008 Audi A4 Quattro automatic in November 2007. It has a serious problem: It burns oil at a rate of 1 quart per 1000 miles. The oil level warning came on at 6000, 10000 and 14000 miles. I have a 2007 A4. Bought it used. Signed up for Sirius Satellite Radio, but it didn't work. The Audi dealer is telling me that since I have the IPOD hook up, you can't have both. Is that a glitch? It doesn't make sense that you can't use your IPOD and use Sirius as well. Any thoughts? Read More...

I am glad everything turned out well for you. I think the A3 is a great car. If you really like it I would say keep it. You probably hate Audi right now; but, you are not proving anything to Audi if you get rid of it for spite. There are other car mfrs. that would have acted in the same manner believe it or not. Every car maker delivers lemons once in a while. What's interesting is how one car can have every single seemingly unrelated problem while others are bulletproof. How does that happen? OK, the reliability might not be a problem. The resale value might be a problem despite I really love the car. One of reason I got A4 is I had a super deal.
