I'm trying decide between a Audi A4 3.2 quattro and a BMR 328i. Ideally I'd want to keep it 6-10 years. I currently don't put that many miles on the car, but you never no if things will change. My 2007 A4 has been burning / consuming oil since it was new. The oil light has gone on 4 times. The PVC Valve has been repaired twice. I am now going through a second oil consumption study. Is anyone aware of a consumer that has been successful using state lemon law rules to get out from owning an A4 with this quality problem. I am shocked that Audi and my dealership (in ... I called a few dealers in my neighborhood and also AudiFS on clarifications on the $1500 loyalty. All of the dealers and AudiFS all said that I am not eligible for the 11/3/08 - 1/5/09 $1500 loyalty promotion even though my A4 lease ends in January 2009 (just a couple of days outside of 1/5/09). Can someone clarify the $1500 loyalty cash? e.g. does it effectively do one of the following in the leasing calculation or does it do something else? 1) Loyalty cash lowers the sales price (or the adjusted cap cost) so that you don't pay tax on this amount 2) Loyalty cash does not lower the adjusted cap cost, so you would effectively treat it as a "rebate" or can apply ... Maybe I am missing something here but what exactly is the deal? There is really no "trade in" that I am aware of with a lease car. The car belongs to Audi and you are simply "turning it in".
