Hi there, I am searching for tires for my 2007 A4 3.2 awd. I live in California (no weather to speak of), but in case I'm out in the rain, something that would handle well would be perfect. Noise and handling are at the top of my wish list. There's so many choices and they all claim to be the best. Any suggestions from other Audi lovers? Thx
This is an interest post. I too was an Infinity owner for many years, and in fact I owned and later sold 3 of them to my kids after driving each for 3-5 years. They all still own them and have had no significant repair costs! (now at 150 to 300K miles!) I always admired the Audi A-4 and in 2006 after I moved to snowy SW Michigan I leased a ... Read More
markincincinnati & graphicguy Funny how the 3 of us are at opposite ends of the financial spectrum in our lives, yet have similar tastes & tolerances when it comes to cars. The seats in my TSX is one thing that I absolutely LOVE! They are thickly bolstered, firm, & super comfortable. They do a fantastic job keeping my narrow, 150 lb rear end from sliding around during aggressive handling maneuvers. The ... Read More
I have a 2007 A4 2.0L Turbo with 72,000 miles. I am concerned that I have to ad oil between changes. I found three recall issues for this car, after being told by an Audi dealer there were none. Yes, I have the 2005+ 4 cylinder A4 convertible, and I have no regrets with my purchase. Mine has about 69,000 miles. I was glad that my original warranty lasted 50,000 miles (I think that was the figure) since I needed some repairs and they were covered. I think Audi has more problem cars on the road than normal, but I seem to have bought one of the OK ones. I ... Read More
Eddie, I'm getting ready to purchase a 2005 A4 convertible with only 32k miles on it. It has been garage kept and is beautiful. Have been shopping around for a new used car and it's down to two choices: first is a 2009 Audi A4 3.2L quattro with 19K miles, can get it for $25K with my trade in of 2000 Audi A4 2.8. Car was a loaner for the Audi dealership, excellent shape, fun to drive and noticeably larger than any other A4 I've driven. Original warranty in effect until August 2013. The other ... Read More
I have a B7 A4 (2007) with the 2.0 turbo engine. I personally change the oil (1st at 1200 miles, then every 5000 miles after that). I use Mobil 0w40 with filters from Audi (I bought a 10-pack). Has not required any oil (yes, I check). The car has 25,000+ miles and I expect to have it for at least 10 years. No issues whatsoever. The car is _outstanding_ to drive ... Read More
Re: the acceleration, I think it is called salesman ignorance, not BS Regarding the turbolag in the A4, I think it is not the AWD but is the lousy CVT Audi puts in the FWD A4. Ok, I am in the market for a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T quattro with 40k miles. Fun to drive, but I am concerned with the cost of maintenance. I have heard mixed reviews. Hmm, what is this "agree" thingy? Well, okay, I will run with it. Regarding ground clearance, I have the same issue with getting in and out. This meant I used my back much more getting out of the Audi than I do now with the ... Read More

I think some people may have misled you... I've 07 A4 2.0T and it has 41K miles, A4 requires in every 10K oil change. My first oil change was first 5k and the 10K thereafter, so I've done 4 oil changes so far but only twice that I've added (one bottle-1qt) each. I think it depends on how you drive. We're very happy...wife will be the one driving the new car though :(
As I recall, the 2007 used a TorSen differential that provided a nominal torque split of 50% front, 50% rear. The new A4 (B8) provides a nominal split of 40% front, 60% rear. Hello, I currently have a 2007 Audi A4 with a 24 month lease with 15K miles a year. My current lease is up in September. I am interested in leasing a new Audi. I will only have approximately 24K miles on the car when I turn it in. Is there any negotiating power since I did not drive 30K? Thanks.
Hi pacsurf. Audi is not providing lease support on 2007 models any longer. As a result, if you really want to lease you are better off going with an '08 model. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Audi A4 2.0T Cabriolet without quattro with 12,000 miles per year are .00027 and 54%, respectively. I don't believe that ... Read More
I've come to the conclusion that the best car for the OP is actually none of the above. He wants something affordable and sporty and luxury, that's also reliable and gets good gas mileage. Unfortunately, they stopped making this car 2-3 years ago, but that's fine, because used like-new examples run about $20K. Get a Mercedes C230K Sedan with manual. This is the *4 door* sedan with the 1.8 supercharged engine ... Read More
Wayne, I am even more shocked by your treatment by Audi when I see that you leased the car. I was told that if I was leasing my car, that Audi would have just switched it out but because I am purchasing it, their offer could only be the two car payments. Since you are under a lease, it is actually still their car. This makes your story even worse. The ... Read More
jake, Thank you for the response. I already sent out my letters yesterday, one to the exec VP, and one to the attention of the head of their customer service, I really don't expect much response from them, but you never know . . . I contacted a friend who is a lawyer, as well as a service that specializes in Lemon Law, I'm going to hear both of them out, ... Read More
The first thing I did was to write to the Exec VP for Audi of America, Johan de Nysschen. Of course, no response. I contacted customer service. They offered to make one car payment as a good will gesture! I then called the Executive Office at the Auburn Hills MI corporate office and left serveral messages. Finally, a person called me back, said he would look into it, and 2 days ... Read More
I've had an '08 A4 for about 5 weeks, just hit 2115 miles and the car died. ( yes, that's 2 thousand miles) Oil pressure light came on then it sputtered and stalled. Audi Care came, (after 2 hrs) and towed it to the local dealership. they were great and promptly go me into a loaner, an '07 A4. There was a specialist at the dealership who immediately said it was ... Read More
I am looking to for a new car (already an Audi owner of a 2007 Q7) primarily to be a station car but I also want something which is fun to drive for the weekends. I have been looking at the Infiniti G35x and the BMW 328Xi in addition to the Audi A4 2.0 Quattro. My dealer called me today and said he had a new 2008 2.0T Quattro in Brilliant ... Read More
See my post at #1727 for the full story - briefly, within approximately 6 weeks, I've had 5 repairs to my engine, with 21,000 miles on it, from replacing exhaust valves to fuel injectors, spark plugs etc. I am told that the next repair when the check engine light comes on will be the heads. I contacted Audi customer service. They have offered me one car payment for my inconvenience. They ... Read More
Well give it a bit more time but if this onslaught of problems continues, get yourself an attorney and start "communicating" with Audi.
chelle4, while it is unfortunate that you suffered from the oil sludging issue with your 2002 A4 (I'm betting with the 1.8T engine), your comments have no bearing on the issues that utahjake is dealing with. The car in question has a 3.2 liter V6, an engine that is not known for sludging what-so-ever (unless the owner drives a HUGE number of miles without an oil change). utahjake, contrary to what ... Your dealership is not great. They are lying to you. Audi has had a problem with oil sludge in their engines and they supposedly fixed the problem. If you go online you will find over 1,000 people who are either suing Audi or fighting with them to get their vehicles fixed. My car is older than yours, but I have the 2002 A4 and Audi had to replace my engine because ... Read More

I purchased my 2007 A4 3.2 in Dec 2006. I had 21,000 problem free miles until Dec 13, 2007. The engine light came on. Dealer said it was random misfire codes and they rebooted software. Dec 26 engine light came on. There was an internal short in coil 2 and 3 cylinders and ignition coil replaced. Dec 27, car died and Roadside Assistance thought it was acceptable to leave me stranded ... Read More
My wife has a new Audi with 3,000 miles. It has used oil from the get go at a quart every 2,000 miles. We had it in to the Audi dealer and the report I received was "the car is operating to manuf. specs. It is normal for 1 quart per 1,000 miles and this only went through 1.5 quart per 2,700 miles. This is normal for new engine break in. ... Read More
I got a 2006 CPO A4. I am not sure if the original warranty is transferrable but I knew that the CPO warranty is NOT transferrable. The salesman told me Audi took the free maintenance away from 2007+ models. People can buy an AudiCare plan (like a prepaid scheduled maintenance plan - $590) for their new vehicles. My 2006 still came with free scheduled maintenance (3 visits) during the original warranty ... Read More
Not sure if you are still shopping or not after looking at the dates. This last 2 weeks I was in the same boat. I had a Ford F150 LAriat I bought new in 2005 with 21 miles and had decided it was time to trade in for something with better gas millage. My wife drives a Volvo V70 Wagon so I went and checked out the S60. For the money ... Read More
