I think some people may have misled you... I've 07 A4 2.0T and it has 41K miles, A4 requires in every 10K oil change. My first oil change was first 5k and the 10K thereafter, so I've done 4 oil changes so far but only twice that I've added (one bottle-1qt) each. I think it depends on how you drive. I'm mid 30th and I still like to enjoy 2.0 TURBO ... Read More

Are oil issues for Audi 2007 A4 2.0T real?

I am thinking about buying an entry level luxury sedan, 2007/2008 CPO model (to use for 2-3 years so that I still have a warranty) - mostly will use it for daily commute (30 miles to work one way, will have to do reverse commute to CT from NYC) and would like to be able to go outdoors and skiing to VT/upstate NY, so prefer AWD. So, I got down to ... Read More

I bought my 2004 Audi a4 1.8T silver/black for $17300. I don't know how I got that price.. I was in the Volkswagen/Audi dealership looking for a 2007 passat and the Audi was sitting right in front on sale for 18500. I offered 16500 cash and we met at 17300. The certified warranty is worth it for sure ... I bought a certified 2004 audi a4 in April 2007 and I have used that warranty more than I can imagine, my car has been towed twice (both times covered by warranty/ problems with the coils). I have been fighting oil consumption with Audi for 1 year in my 2007 A4 2.0T. The ethics of Audi are not acceptable and they really don't give a rip about doing what is right for their customers. I have an older A4 (2002) that has had its share of problems. The problems for the most part have been corrected by the dealer ...however one must stay on top of them to ensure that it has been done correctly. Can someone clarify the $1500 loyalty cash? e.g. does it effectively do one of the following in the leasing calculation or does it do something else? 1) Loyalty cash lowers the sales price (or the adjusted cap cost) so that you don't pay tax on this amount 2) Loyalty cash does not lower the adjusted cap cost, so you would effectively treat it as a "rebate" or can apply it towards ... chelle4, while it is unfortunate that you suffered from the oil sludging issue with your 2002 A4 (I'm betting with the 1.8T engine), your comments have no bearing on the issues that utahjake is dealing with. The car in question has a 3.2 liter V6, an engine that is not known for sludging what-so-ever (unless the owner drives a HUGE number of miles without an oil change). utahjake, contrary to what ...
