    I am in the market looking out for cheap AWD car and found a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro wagon with 105K on it. What can I expect in terms of maintenance costs considering Are spares too expensive? anything specific that dies with this kind of mileage Typical Engine life I plan to run the car for a couple of years for about 20k to 25K miles. Appreciate your feedback.

    Does anyone know of a good Audi repair shop on the north shore of Boston? Also, the Air Bag warning light in my 2001 Audi A4 Quattro just came on and has stayed on. Has anyone experienced this? Could it mean I will need a new airbag or maybe just a sensor/electric problem?

    You should ask what the dealer fees are as this will impact your final price. If there aren't dealer fees (there almost always are) this is a good price. The invoice price for the car you described is 35282. There is an incentive for 1500 off if you are an owner of a 2001 or newer Audi already.

    It's oil, not fuel, that causes the sludge issue on the 1.8T engines. A combination of non-synthetic oils with extended intervals caused this to occur over time. If you have records for all the maintenance for that vehicle I suggest getting it to a dealer immediately to see how bad the sludge may be.     I just bought a 2003 A4 Quattro 3.0 with about 55,000 miles. Clean as a pin, looks and drives like new and even still smells new. Clean carfax report and the local Audi dealer ran the VIN history which confirmed that the previous owner completed every scheduled maintenance at his/her Audi dealer. I bought it at a good price and am loving it. Sports package with Bose Symphony! :)

    Bingo! DONT USE aftermarket oil filters with an Audi engine! I bet if you put the Audi filter in, your noise will go away or diminish.
