This car has been nothing but a major
problem. It was fun to drive for about 1,000
miles after I bought it, then the troubles
began. In a span of about 6 weeks, I
experienced a blown head gasket, ruptured
CV joint, and an oil leak as well as problems
with the alternator, fan belt, and coolant
leaks. This car is appealing at first glance,
but it has a history of these problems.

My uncle has owned a 1993 Audi 90s for
about three years, and when I was
looking for a car, he didn't want to
sell it to me. One school night, he
literally chased down an Audi 90s with
a FOR SALE sign that looked exactly
like his at 80 mph and I bought it. In
about three months, I have gone through
a lot with this car. It is a reliable
and a solid piece of German

I was upgrading from a 114 hp car, and
let me say that this 5 speed, 172 hp
machine is incredible. My father owns
a 2000 Mercedes C280 which isn't
nearly as much fun to drive. Inside
it's quite and it handles like a
Porsche. It's a beautiful car.

I started off with an Audi 5000 which
was 14 years old before it was rear
ended and totaled. After thinking I
needed a Lincoln and Mercedes I gave in
a few years later and purchased an Audi
90S. I was now back home. As with my
other Audi I have experienced a good
ride along with wonderful engineering.
I am able to maintain and work on my
Audi therefore avoiding the costly
Dealership. The ride is excellent,
acceleration is promt and handling is
in your control.

Bought car in Oct 96 with 50k.
Inherited it with what I found out to
be the common head (92 & 93 6 cyl) and
front end problems. Cost $1400 in 97 to
repair. 4th catalytic converter on
left side and 2nd on right which I have
found out is also a common problem.
Audi would/will not do anything about
it. Gave up on cruise.
