Kyfdx: I'm looking for December lease rates for 2013 and 2014 Acura TL fwd w/ technology pkg and 2013/2014 TL fwd w/ advance pkg. Thanks in advance!
Hi KYFDX, I am looking to lease a 2014 Acura TL Base model for 36 months/ 15k miles per year. I live in south florida and I am considering the following models: Base Base w/ Technology Special Edition Could you please provide me with residual values and money factors. Thank you!
Although I wasn't as active a participant here (and elsewhere) whilst I had my 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD Advance, I was a frequent reader of the postings and musings of those who participated those "lonely" 28 months. I would not hesitate to recommend an Acura such as the one I had -- I would, however, try to put things into perspective for someone shopping for one of these ELLPS vehicles. The ... Read More
If your sister doesn't have a TL SH-AWD advance, driving her TL could turn you off of getting one. I was given the FWD TL Tech (2013) when mine was in for a service interval. The SH-AWD has a "performance tuned" suspension. The TL FWD does not. The SH-AWD Advance has 19" wheels and, unfortunately, somewhat lackluster All-Season "V" rated tires (somewhat stiffer sidewalls), but this version of the TL is ... Read More
I would urge you to get the Advance, not Tech version of the TL. I got a 13% discount on my 2012, Advance, so my guess is they have more to play with in that car -- and you will get the 19" wheels which both improve the turn in and looks. Moreover, you get the really cool (pun intended) vented seats -- and, most importantly blind spot monitoring. I know ... Read More
Drove from Cincinnati to Columbus and back yesterday -- on the way back, crossed over to 1,000+ miles on the OD. Well, for reasons I cannot imagine -- other than the fact that here in Ohio we have raised the top speed limit from 65 to 70mph (and EVERYBODY does limit+10 and lots do limit+20) -- I got in with a "pack" of cars cruising along between 85 and 90, and ... My wife just got a 2013 TL with SH-AWD and the tech package. Made a great deal as the Acura dealer was clearing out the '13s to make room for the 2014 model. Got it in black with black interior and as far as my wife and I are concerned, it is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous (exterior and interior). Also, what an incredible car to drive. The suspension is excellent on smooth ... Read More
I've now spent a bit of time "initializing" the S4's MMI system parameters -- including Audi Connect (free for 6-months). In terms of ease of use, the MMI user interface remains super easy, one could argue it is almost intuitive. What I do notice, this time, in comparison to my 2009 A4 Prestige, is that there seems to be more that can be configured via the MMI. I had to chuckle ... Read More
I don't know if I posted that my wife ordered a 2014 Q5 3.0T P+ with the sport interior, nav, B&O, blind spot monitoring, etc. Thing is, as is her "policy" we test drive the crap outta anything she is even remotely serious about. Once she had it down to the Q5, it was a matter of "which engine?" We drove the slightly HP (+9) up-rated 2014 2.0T with the 8-spd ... Read More
I can't remember if the "cause" is local or if all BMW dealers do what is done at one of the dealerships here in River City: About once a year (it could be more) I get an invitation in the mail, followed up with a voice mail message inviting my wife and me to test drive as many BMW's as we want (all in a single day). As I recall, the ... Read More
I was offered a 2013 Acura TL SE for 398/ month with taxes and 1st month upfront for approx 1500.00 @ Curry Acura in New York. I was there this past friday.
I went to Curry Acura over the weekend. My current lease of 2010 TSX was 322 with just taxes and 1st month upfront. I was given a offer for a 2013 TL Special Edition for 389/month with taxes and 1st month upfront. My lease ends November 8th. I was told a TLX will be release between Spring and Summer of 2014. I am contemplating of extending my lease until then unless ... Read More
Acura is advertising the 2013 TL ‘Base’ promo lease terms- 36 months, 10k miles/year $1999 due at signing, $349/month OR $0 due at lease signing, $0 first month payment, $390/month for 35 months BUT, I would push for an SE model and 12k miles/year with these terms!
Our 2011 FX35 is coming off lease -- and Infiniti has already tried to lure my wife into another Infiniti with an "early out" or "pull ahead" deal (you know where at least 3 months of the lease is forgiven, plus any miles over are wiped off the books.) In the time frame where we switched from German to Japanese, the primary motivation was the super sub-vented lease deals offered by ... Read More
"When is the TL replacement coming? 2015 MY? Acura dealers are already "giving them away" at below invoice prices. Who knows what kind of rebates, conquest cash, trunk money, & cheap financing they will throw the TL's way once they decide to "fire sale" in the coming months. " My expectation is that the TL replacement (TLX?) will be introduced very early in calendar year 2014 as a 2015 model. The ... Read More
The MDX is the only Acura worth a look in its segment right now, and even it is overdue for a refresh. As someone else already mentioned, the redesigned 2014 MDX has just been released in the last week or so. It looks like a 5/4 version of the RDX, but that's not a bad thing based on current RDX sales. YTD sales of the RDX as of May month end ... Read More
I've been helping my mom's best friend shop for a new vehicle to replace her leased 2010 Infiniti G37. Her lease expires on July 10th, so we're down to just a few weeks. We looked at the 2013 Acura TL 3.5 'Base' and she liked it (drives great, awesome interior, but the exterior is still fugly to me)! They are offering the following lease deal- $2499 due at lease signing ($2200 ... Read More
OK. My wife had the UA4-UA5 (BMW and Mercedes afficionados should approve of my detail) 2001 Acura TL. When the 2004 came out in early Oct 2003, we both test drove it and she said she had to have it because of its improvements in handling and of course styling. That would be the UA6-UA7 factory codes. About 3 years later, because she puts lots of miles on her cars, she ... Read More
Yeah TL sales are around 40% of the peak sales years ago- this beak issue was never addressed the way they quickly fixed the civic- shame car was very attractive to the segment. Unfortunately now it's only attractive because of massive discounts- the looks are just to over the top ugly. I remember in 08, 09 and 10 when I got banned from an acura TL forum because I was questioning ... Read More
Sorry billy. This special edition TL is nothing more than an appearance package according to edmunds.com "Honda's Acura Division reported on June 3 that it sold 12,434 Acura TLs year-to-date through May, a drop of 15.3 percent compared to a year ago."
OK. Just checked with wife. She is kind of an enthusiast driver through the years as observed by me in her driving in the twisities locally and in challenging roads (not interstates) around the country on vacation trips. She has selected and bought American branded performance cars in the past. She said she has never heard of the UA designations for Acura cars. She does know the difference between Acura TL ... Hear they are adding another foot to the grill and putting more chrome everywhere as well. Also spec is they are going to expand the name even further - Acura 3.7 Tl - sh-awd sde (super Dupper edition) .
Yes, just yesterday I read that the next generation TL will be introduced in Spring 2014. It'll be based on the current Accord, as expected. No details were given, other than it'll be a little smaller than the current TL. I don't recall where I read this. The 2013 Accord has gotten good reviews, whereas the reviews of the new RLX haven't been too favorable.
Anyone have any info as to when they think the New TLX will be arriving?? According to the saleman that i know from Acura he tells me that there will be a 2014 TL in the Fall and then a 2015 will follow I hope that hes wrong Did anyone hear anything about a New REDESIGNED 2014 TLX?? Thanks
Hello aboesch. Acura's April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 TL Tech with 15,000 miles per year in Maryland are .00100 and 54% for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier. I'm not sure when the 2014 version of this car is scheduled to arrive, but I haven't heard anything about it so it probably isn't soon. Car_man ... Read More
Graph- I am pretty much familiar with Acura's game plan- on my second TL 03 and now 09. I skipped the 3rd generation because it did not offer AWD. I was only replying to the poster who was wondering who would buy a TL knowing all the features the Accord has to offer. To be all honest, I am currently itching for A6 Prestige or probably 535XI or 550 XI. Reality ... Read More
billy....I don't think there's been any release date set for the new TL. Dealers can say anything they want. But, I believe the manufacturers aren't necessarily forthcoming about what abouth their new releases. This is all speculation, but given Acura's history of how they roll out redesigned vehicles, there should be the possibility that they announce a '14 TL-S, with a revamped suspension and massaged drivetrain before a totally new TL ... The first car I owned was a hand me down Accord. I did subsequently buy a new Honda Accord (1990), but moved on to 1993 Toyota Camry v6 SE (the only year they offered a manual 6 - speed transmission), and then to the 1998 Nissan Maxima SE. My last two cars have been the Infiniti G35 6MT -- 2003 and 2006. I have loved all my cars and really enjoyed ... Read More
No unveiling until Jan'14? Sounds like a major mistake to inform the public of a redesign, then wait through the end of '13 before you can even see it. Who's going to buy a '13 TL this fall, knowing in a few months there's going to be a new generation on showroom floors? I sincerely hope we get an inside look within the next 3-4 months. Had my '06TL ruined by ... Read More
For the price it's an alternative, right? Same engines. Leather , parts., larger cheaper, newer - The TSX is smaller than the last 2 generations of Accord, I don't think its the same engine either. Price could be in line, but the people shopping an Accord were not cross shopping a TSX. Friends who bought a TSX never once went to a honda dealer and looked at an accord. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2014-chevrolet-ss-sedan-photos-and-info-news Just ... Read More
I agree one should wait on an Acura product but not due to quality but to performance because the current line (awd TL included) is a dog and has been since the tsx and TL redues - it's amazing how long they have gone without producing a solid exciting sedan- Well, the styling leaves a lot to be desired. Not sure that the current version is a "dog". Road and Track ... Read More
I wonder what will 'trickle down' to the next TL? http://www.edmunds.com/acura/rlx/2014/road-test.html - Ray Acura used to be on my radar....
Latest rumors are TLX will not be shown until January 2014 and released in March 2014. I hope that is not true as TL and TSX sales are in the tank and Acura needs a car that sells.
You did very well, indeed; I've been driving the 2012 TL since April's end and am pleased with all aspects of the automobile; especially the drive-by-wire accelerator; control is so much better than any Acura before, too. Only 3500 miles since April 2012 and looking forward to the TLX in 2014; these TL's have an ugly blind spot on both sides and require additional help to detect those spots...like a spotter ... Mark...as you and I have posted before, I think you've pretty much nailed the current TL. I agree with you. I had a 2010. We were lured by the very things in an Audi that you posted about (GF bought an S4). I must say, uncharacteristic of a Honda product, both our BMW 335i and the S4 get better MPG than the TL SH AWD did. Not by a lot, but ... Read More
A few more thoughts. The 19-inch wheels are overkill, adding unsprung weight, which contributes to a harsher ride, and, perhaps, contributing to road noise, but likely not adding to better roadholding. Eighteen-inch wheels are more than sufficient; the larger wheels are stylistic excess, especially in view of the mediocre all-season tires fitted. The rear-view camera works well enough, but is primitive in contrast to rear-view cameras in cars in the same ... Read More
After 18 months and 22,090 miles with my 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD with Tech and Advance options, I have some impressions of living with this sedan. It took the dealer two tries to repair the air conditioner and one try to fix the sunroof. The car was in the shop for ... Read More
I would wait until 2013 to make your purchase. Not only will Acura release the new 2014 RLX in Q1 of next year, but the new 2014 TLX should be out before the summertime next year as well. And even if you don't like the RLX or the TLX, you should be able to get a great deal on a 2013 TL AWD Tech. I love my '09 TL SH-AWD Tech ... Read More
While I agree that for the price of a TL SH-AWD Advance you could get a BASE Audi S4, the S4 requires over $11,000 of options to get to parity with respect to "content." The TL SH-AWD Advance with the a la carte addition of back-up sensors and splash gaurds is north of $47 or $48K depending on how many a la carte do-dads (which are nice) you check off. The ... An Audi A4 2.0T Prestige can be cranked up MSRP-wise to more than $50K. An Acura TL SH-AWD Advance (not Tech) plus a la carte options like splash guards and back-up sensors is north of $47K MSRP. I test drove a CTS/4 Premium Luxury with the 19" wheel option and the FE2 suspension. This was the day I test drove an Audi S4 and the TL SH-AWD Advance. The 3.6 engine seemed enthusastic in its sounds and refinement but was unable to press you back in the ... Read More
Mark 20K in 11 months, that's a whole lot of driving. I have 18K and I am going on 3yrs (8/17 exactly). I guess I will have enough equity in my car when the 2014 hits the showrooms.
Long time posters here will know that I fell off the Audi wagon about a year ago and went with a 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD Advance. The car has lived up to its reputation of being "perfect" from a mechanical perspective -- I would assume this car would soldier on for years and years and 100's of thousands of miles with nothing but regular maintenance. This is the first car I ... Read More
New TL as a 2014 MY is what is being said "here in the cloud." That is what I would expect, but you never know -- I'm sure there will be SOMETHING that differentiates a 2013 from a 2012, but I would bet it won't be anything compelling. My hope is for the TL to be offered only w/SH-AWD to perhaps make a statement that Acura's serious about being in the ... Read More
I had -- my wife had -- a couple of those slightly smaller A4's back in the late 90's, with the, at the time V6 and stick shift (and with the $500 sport package), these were very nice cars; and actually very reliable as I recall. But, those were the days when we were in and out of a car in about 45,000 miles, so even for a German car it ... Read More
I know, I'd loved my 3G TL. I don't know what Acura was thinking with the 4G. I understand they are moving the TSX and TL up market this generation but I mean they went crazy on the TL (in both size and design). deer....you're obviously happy about what you paid since you pulled the trigger. You did fine. Personally, I don't see any styling changes for any of the Acuras.
