2012 Acura TL - Edmunds Ratings

Performance The 305-hp 3.7-liter V6 is more than up to the task of motivating the TL, which weighs 3,800 pounds. The new six-speed manual transmission helps bring the car alive as well.
Driving Dynamics The TL is a standout performer in this class. Grip is good and the AWD is as good at helping the car go quickly as it is at getting it through inclimate weather.
Ride Comfort The penalty for good handling is a ride that can get jiggly at times and downright harsh over potholes.
Quietness Acura's V6 engine is amazingly quiet, while wind and road noise are very low.
Ergonomics Acura's dash layout looks complex, but in reality it is one of the simplest and most user-friendly systems.
Visibility Rear visibility is mediocre at best thanks to thick pillars and a high trunk.
Seat Access & Space The front seats are supportive without being narrow and the TL is easy to enter and exit.
Cargo & Storage The TL offers 12.5 cubic feet of storage space which is average, but the TL could stand a flat load floor. As it is, there are ridges and dips that make it difficult to get a stable load floor.
Build Quality The 2012 Acura TL is a well-built near-luxury sedan with good interior materials and tight tolerances.
