I have a 2008 TL with Nav and want to upgrade my Verizon cell phone to a LG Dare but Acura will not tell me if it is compatible. They will only tell me it is in their "pending list" of phones to check out. Does anyone know if the phone can be paired and is compatible with my car. Read More...

Just a follow up to my previous post re: brakes. My handyman Father replaced the front pads and he said it was the simplest brake job he's ever done. Total cost: $45 for the premium ceramic brake pads. A few days later the back brakes started making some weird scraping noises. Hi Newbie here. Nice forum. I am in the market for a used TL. I am getting a quote of $28k for a creamy white 2008 Acura TL with 11k miles in really good condition ( i did notice the engine is a bit loud). The seller boast the MSRP is 38k. I have a 2007 TLS with BREMBO Brakes in the front and they needed replaced at 30K. I still have my original brakes in the rear with 48K on the car now. Original tires were shot at 30K also. The car mechanically hasn't given me any trouble except for the Transmission hunts and pecks for gears once and awhile not sure if I should mention it to the mechanic at Acura ...any ... Hello. I would definitely push for a new HFL unit from your dealer, especially when it's a warranty issue. They had to order my replacement, took about 3 days to arrive. There was always a delay with mine from day one. If I didn't sync my phone within 5 minutes of starting the car the HFL & phone would not connect. I just thought it was normal. Interesting you mentioned HFL problems. We have started experiencing delays and echos when connecting to a call. Tried several cell phones with same problem. Deleted and reconfigured the cell phones with same problem. Dealer said it was a cellular service provider issue. Tried in another Acura and had no problems. I expect the HFL to go out soon. Please post your update as I am very interested what Acura says. My wife drives the 08 TL almost all the time so the wear on the seat may not be as noticeable as if I were driving it and getting in and out of the car everyday. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer on 9/23. The Taupe color has definitely worn thru to what is now a yellowish white color; all texture is also gone. It is specific to just one area on the driver seatback just above the waist. I too use Acura approved leather conditioners on the interior on a weekly basis.
