Edmunds quotes this car at $32,500 for certified pre-owned. If you get it for a round $30K, I'd say you did good. Other than that crazy grill, it's an awesome car. This car new costs $40K invoice. BTW, I'm not sure if you plan on financing it or not. If you are, I don't think there are very low finance options, like the ones for new cars, see the post above. ... Read More

rekcalsa and XxHaimBonxX, thanks for your inputs and time. I am currently looking at a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD (Automatic) + Tech package that has 14000 miles on it. The dealer is asking 33000 and I quoted 28100. The dealer is saying that 28100 is too low and he may probably agree around the 30000 range. The dealer has still not quoted the price. The TMV for such a vehicle in ... Read More

I bought my '08 TL-S new at DCH Montclair Acura. They weren't bad to deal with at all. I did nearly everything either via email or phone so I'm not sure how they'd be in person, nor do I know if they have separate salesmen/women for the used cars.

This is my first message and I would appreciate any inputs from members since I am into the car buying market once again after my car got totaled last month in an oil spill (on road) related accident. I am in NJ and I am researching for a used TL (base)...most of the '08 models are available at dealers around $22000 - $23000 (with approximately 30000-35000 miles on them)...and most '09 ... Your experience is very encouraging. I am local to this dealer also, have a 2008 Accord lease coming to an end and have my eye on the TL as a replacement. This was the first dealer I was going to visit and try to work out a deal with. It would be a huge plus if I could turn in the Honda to them, but I don't know if that's doable ... Read More

Just wanted to update how my negotiations went. We were turning in a 2008 Acura TL (base) with 21000 miles on it...15000 under the milage allowance. Hubby & I are in the "super-preferred" tier. Took all my research to my local Acura Dealer (we had leased our last car there). They started out talking about $408/month with $1500 down for the 2011 Acura TL w/Tech package and FWD. Hi Again! Thanks for your reply...I have a few more questions. According to Edmunds.com the invoice on this car is $40,392 but the one I drove had a sticker of $38,895. So, do I offer $37,395 (Invoice - $2000 + $500) as a starting point? Also, if my math is correct the .00153 money factor = 3.672% interest (money factor X 2400) which seems a bit high. Greetings, I was offered to move up from my 2008 TL lease two months early into a 2010 complete with tech and ugly beak. No money out of pocket and $454 a month for 12,000 miles or $475 for 15,000. My last lease was for 18,000/year which I do actually drive but I was talked into going for lower miles to drop my monthly payment and because I was also told ... Read More

I will mention, though, that the new CTS is worlds better than anything Mazda makes. It's positioned in Europe as a BMW 5 series competitor at a lot less money. My parents just went through this exact same scenario. And had it down to the same models are you are looking at. And the CTS just simply was a superior product to the Infiniti. The only vehicle that gave it serious ... Read More

It's painful for me to admit, but the beak on the current TL is the most hideous thing I've ever seen! This is coming from someone who still can remember my first time driving my cousin's brand new 1986 Acura Legend (dark blue with gray lower accent) and realizing that it was the most special car I'd ever driven. I later owned a 1994 Acura Legend GS that was the love ... Read More

OK, my 2008 Acura TL-S lease is ending March 2011 and I'm trying to decide on my next car. There are many things I like about the 2011 TL but the new beak and added size are really negatives I don't think I can get past. Hello. I would definitely push for a new HFL unit from your dealer, especially when it's a warranty issue. They had to order my replacement, took about 3 days to arrive. There was always a delay with mine from day one. If I didn't sync my phone within 5 minutes of starting the car the HFL & phone would not connect. I just thought it was normal. A few months later ...
