After having had a small sports car that was a lemon, I was determined, above all, to have a reliable car, but I didn't want to lose the fun of driving a responsive car and I also wanted something a bit larger and more comfortable. The Acura TLS has it all: never a moment's worry about reliablity, plus comfort and the pleasure of driving an easy-handling powerful car, and--to top it off--a great Bose sound system.

Manual transmission was unavailable, but I would have preferred that. I understand the newer models offer that. I dislike having to use premium gas. The gearshift knob has a big red S and looks cheap. (I replaced it.)
