Lots of car for the money!

Great Car! I was looking at Maxima SE, and Passat V6. This car is fast and sporty, with a heavier feel to it than the Maxima. The Maxima lacked the heavier European driving feel, while the Passat lacked the horsepower.

Moved into this car from a Toyota Solara SLE V6. Head and shoulders better for about $4K more. What a deal! Also tested the 330i and the A4 3.0, but for the price the Acura is untouchable!

It's a nice car, but..........

i'm overall happy with the car, but found out one bad thing after purchasing the car. found out that some of them were leaking oil from the block. it is not a recall, and the customers are not informed about it. acura's fix for the leaking block is JB weld. this is very disappointing. if i were to find out mine were leaking oil, i would drive it till it ran out of oil. i would let the motor seize up so acura would have to warranty the whole motor.

Great Car for a Great Price

Great ride, great buy and gives BMW a run for its money. This car whoops BMW's 530i out of the water and keeps money in your bank account. No regrets except for not getting the 6 speed.

Great Car to Drive
By Osaze on 03/26/02 00:00 AM (PST)

The TL S type is really a sports car that has been somewhat tweaked to perform as a luxury seadan. But wait, there are reservations. This car provides tremendous road feel through its torque sensitive steering and rather stiff suspension. The one reservations is that you really feel those road bumps come right into the cabin as you drive. However, the suspension keeps you always connected to the road and the front of the car tracks every road surface undulation at its subtlest. Great car for the sport enthusiast, but stay away those who feel that this car will smooth out every bump in the road like a Lexus.

TL Type S is a great car that is very fun to drive. 260 Horsepower is just enough to teach those younger kids a lesson every now and then. The car accelerates well and handles corners with ease.

A good value
By wrx_tester on 03/20/02 00:00 AM (PST)

Car does accelerate well but transmission kickdown in both auto and automanual is not at all smooth. RPM at 75mph is less than 2000 which helps limit engine noise. The stereo is not up to snuff vs. German brands. Build quality esp. around the bumpers was questionable. Give them a push and they might fall off. Could use 7" wheels instead of 6.5".
