I've had my '02 TL-S (non-nav) for some
time. Considered BMW 325xi/330xi, Audi
A4, Nissan Maxima, Saab 9.3, Lexus
IS300/ES300. Acura won by being $10k
less than the BMW for the same features
and being more reliable. Audi A4 not
reliable enough. Maxima not
luxury-oriented; Saab to expensive and
not reliable. Lexus IS300 is rear-wheel
and so not appropriate in the snow;
ES300 won't handle -- too soft.
Acura is so great on the road; firm
suspension, great steering, super fast;
wonderfully supportive vented seats
(perforated leather); nice Bose stereo;
so many useful options all included at
$0. Back seat is huge. The Acura TL is a
true four person car.
I thought the handling wasn't good
enough (too much sway), so I bought the
CompTech sway bars. Makes an
*incredible* difference! Turning radius
is pathetic, like a boat. Car is big;
BMW/A4 much more nimble. Low profile
wheels easily damaged by curbs (caution).
