Re: RSX Base Model 36/12k and 48/12k MF and Residuals [alberty]
Written by: Car_man on Sep 11, 2006 3:05:39 AM
You're very welcome, alberty. I'm glad to hear that you got a good deal on your TSX. Unfortunately, Acura's lease program for the RSX is not very attractive right now. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2006 RSX with 12,000 miles per year are .00283 and 57%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 48 month lease are ... Read More

Written by: Car_man on Sep 11, 2006 3:02:35 AM
Hello jbell67. Unfortunately, with its new September lease program Acura stopped providing lease support on the RSX. As a result, if you were to lease one through Honda Finance now you would have to use its standard lease program, which is much worse than the special program that was available on the RSX in August. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease ... Read More

I would be happy to help you out, rws0131. According to the latest information that I have seen, if you were to lease a 2006 Acura RSX Type-S through Honda Finance for 24 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00080 and 65%, respectively. The 12,000 miles per year residual value would be 1% higher. This money factor assumes that you ... Read More

Hey Car_Man, I am preparing info for a 36 month/12,000 miles per yearlease and wanted to ask if you knew the July 2006 Money Factor and residual numbers for the 2006 Acura RSX Type S (36 months/12k miles). I think that's a GREAT price. This car is becoming harder to find because Acura is discontinuing the whole RSX line after 2006 and replacing it with a coupe next year--no more hatchbacks The only dealer in my area (Seattle) that has any RSXs right now is charging asking 20,600 for it (and that's with NO spoiler!) Other dealers in my area are out of stock. It's very annoying. I think ... Read More

Hello bedi. Acura basically continued the special lease program that it was providing on the 2006 RSX in October through the end of November. The specifics of the program are a little different, it lowered its special lease money factor a little bit to make up for a drop in this car's residual values, but the lease payments that result from it should be about the same. Hello Niren. A credit score of 710 is still pretty good, but I am not sure if it is good enough to qualify for Honda Finance's "Super Preferred" credit tier. While Acura's current advertised lease on the 2006 RSX is only scheduled to run through October 31st, I don't think that you are risking much by waiting to lease one. Acura always provides some sort of lease support on the RSX. ... Read More

Hello golds. I agree that you should not make any sort of capitalized cost reduction when leasing. I always advise consumers against making any sort of down payment when leasing. The first is if your vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen during your lease, your insurance company pays off the bank that you were leasing it through and your down payment essentially ...
