Gas and Price
Written by: felt on Jul 12, 2005 5:19:15 AM
I own a 2004 RSX, manual with about 25,000 miles. I enjoy every aspect of the vehicle. It is sporty, comfortable, fun to drive, very efficient, and it has Acura quality. I must admit that I live in New Hampshire, and do not experience much in the way of "city" driving. My normal driving is in the 40 - 70 mph range, but I consistently get 38-41 mpg per tank on ... Sure hope so! that Type-R looks very sweet, limited slip diferential, momo wheel, brembo breakes, and this page i found estimates the 0-60 at arround 5.5 secs, but they have a desclaimers that is a power calculation and not from a road test. Macau is very wierd as far as cars go, we get some stuff then don't get other and there are many diferent car dealers, there is no "Honda" ... Read More

For a 2004 Acura RSX automatic, cloth, with tint, I paid 19,050 + TTL + Sales Tax etc, drive out of 20,500. I got this price as an internet quote from David Mcdavid in Plano TX. I recommend this dealer, the whole experience was smooth and haggle free.

RSX Buying Experience in Phoenix
Written by: restonham on Jun 1, 2004 7:15:34 AM
Purchased a black 2004 base RSX, cloth with automatic at just below invoice from Bell Acura late last week. Extremely pleasant folks to deal with and the triple witching time helped - start of a holiday weekend, decent inventory and end of the month. Being only a few months from the '05s probably had some effect also. Let them make the first offer and then counter with a few hundred below ... Read More

Looking to Buy a New RSX
Written by: lizzabelle81 on Mar 23, 2004 8:11:52 PM
I'm looking to buy a new RSX, but I'm seeking advice from other past-RSX buyers. I went to Ryan's Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ today, and the salesperson quoted me $19k for a 2003 (new, no mileage) base manual w/ leather. $19k seems a bit steep for a leftover, especially considering '05s are coming out in, what, six months? However, I didn't get a quote on a 2004. I ... Read More

Random RSX thoughts ...

Wendy, congrats on your 2005 RSX-S. Keep us updated on how it's treating you (and vice versa, LOL). Nippon, I also agree w/ you that the RSX seats are very comfortable and keep you in place nicely. Also, the crappy Michelin tires are pretty loud on imperfect roads. The engine can get loud when you hit 75-80 MPH. I just test drove the Matrix yesterday (Sat.). I have absolutely no interest ... Now you got me drooling if the RSX ever produced 250 or 260 HP stock. :) Slight correction: The Acura 3.2 TL Type-S never had a M/T option. It was always A/T (sport shift). It's only the new (2004) TL that introduced a manny tranny in that sedan.

I agree that the extra 10 HP that the 2005 RSX-S will have will not be that noticeable since: a.) you need to rev higher (max HP is now at 7800 RPM vs. 7400 RPM that the 2002-2004 RSX-S have) and b.) the 2005 RSX-S weighs about 70-80 lbs. more than the 2002-2004 model. I'm not really digging the triple circles that Acura uses for the new RSX's headlights and taillights. ... Read More

Hey everyone, Just purchased a 2004 RSX Type S in Arctic Blue Pearl. Anyway, anyone have pictures or updates on differences in the 2005 model? Also, anyone know of any good sites to purchase authentic Acura accessories (like a wing, fog lights) at cheap prices? I used to know a few for hondas (traded in my civic), but am clueless with Acura websites. Lastly, I've been reading that some people have ... Read More

To Nitromax/Thanks!/Also Spoiler & Hood Question
Written by: prelude00girl on Apr 22, 2003 9:41:00 PM
Mark (Nitromax), Thank you for your input again! I am so glad you are happy with your Titanium cloth seats. That fury portion on the seat is throughout my Honda Prelude's plush seats which is the best part of my Prelude. I always loved my seats. The RSX's seats were nice but not as comfortable as my car but maybe they would be once sat in for a few months since ... Read More

It depends on if you're looking to buy a sport coupe or a sport sedan/wagon. Between the RSX-S and the Celica GTS, the RSX is clearly dominant in nearly all categories, save for brakes and tires. (I suspect the RSX's braking distances -- not to mention skidpad numbers -- would improve markedly with some real tires on the car.) Between the WRX and the RSX-S, you can't go wrong either way. ... While the RSX would be fun, and is frugle on gas, for up to $30K, you might want to also look at: Infinity G35 coupe (base with auto can be had for under $30K Nissan 350Z (same comment as above) Acura CL-S (with the way they are selling, should not have a problem gettin one for under $30K. Lexus IS300 (same comment as above). Infinity G35 sedan (can get one with ... Read More

Stuart's assertion is very interesting. This "verozahl" character is horrible, really, some sort of Honda fanatic or something. Let me roll back in my chair and stare at the ceiling... ... hmm... WAIT! I think I got it! He's an Integra guy! that's why! Celica guys and Integra guys in Japan are like Camaro vs. Mustang, you know. RSX Sedan? Say it ain't so!!
Written by: beowulf7 on Jun 7, 2002 11:51:20 PM
I don't believe it. Why would Acura spend so much money design a sedan version of this coupe when it's obvious that this demand does not exist. How many Integra sedans were sold vs. coupes? I don't remember the actual value, but it was very low, like ~10%. That means it's not a good business decision to expend all this extra cost to manufacture a sedan that will only be marketable ... RSX-R

I called Acura Client Services in CA about a week ago. The customer rep. told me that the RSX-R will be out "definitely" (relatively speaking) for the 2004 models. However, Acura could also introduce it earlier, i.e., a 2003 model this Fall.

Philly Auto Show

Happy New Year, everyone. I'm planning on going to the Philadelphia Auto Show (http://www.phillyautoshow.com) this weekend (Jan. 5 or 6). Does anyone know if Acura will be there? I want to ingrain the salespeople there on suggestions for RSX, many of which have been brought up in this forum. Hopefully, they'll make note of it and suggest to their bosses and work its way up and down the chain to RSX ... Read More
