Civic Si or Acura RSX Type-S?

  • Re: Civic Si or Acura RSX Type-S? [nitrousxl]

Written by: mexateck on Aug 25, 2008 10:01:37 AM

The Civic Si actually has a wider final gear than the RSX. So technically, the RSX is indeed faster while the Civic could THEORETICALLY get better gas mileage. In essence, the RSX is actually a better car than the Civic, in terms of build quality and suspension tuning as well. However, the Civic Si has much more to offer for the money, as a fully equipped one will cost some 4 ... Read More

I replaced the drivers side headlight on my 2004 RSX. IT IS NOT EASY BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION. The procedure was more involved than what the owner's manual suggested. I had to remove the battery (well...okay), then unfasten the washer bottle filler tube from the body. From this point forward, it gets hard because you can't see what you're doing AT ALL. First, disconnect the plug. Second, slide the ... Read More

I've never heard of that either. Are you sure that the "body shop" knows what a throttle even is? The body shop should repair the body and have the Acura dealer repair the engine. In 2005, Toyota switched from cable-based throttles to electronic throttles on several models. Based upon Jackson Racing's failure to make superchargers for the Acura RSX-S beyond 2004, I suspect Acura did the same thing and the body ... Read More
