I have a question. I have a 2002 Acura RSX and I can't get the darn thing out of park. I know how to do it manually, but I was wondering if anyone knew the permanent fix to this problem. And how much do you think it would cost if I took it to a dealership?
Hello, I just purchased a 2002 RSX from a private party. It is an automatic with 97,000 miles. I wanted to mention some things just to see what you guys might think and if you've had similiar issues... 1. There are 2 small oil seal leaks which I knew about when I brought the car to my mechanic. the seller took $1000 off of the price to pay for the repair. ... Read More
I just got a mailing from my dealer advertising a supposed "super deluxe mega buyout offering!" or somesuch, saying that there's a big demand for used RSXs, and implying that they'd be giving much better trade-in offers for my 2002 RSX than usual. I've occasionally gotten such mailings in the past for my previous car, a Saturn. I tend to assume such things are 99% B.S., but is there anything to ... Read More
I have a 2002 RSX that was recently in an accident. It was hit on the passenger side (right) front wheel/door area. I got it back from the body shop yesterday and it looks great but drives terribly. What problems are you talking about? I've had an AT RSX since October of 2001 and have had zero problems with the transmission. I'm a little concerned that my acura dealer is trying to take me for a ride, and would like some honest feedback from the group. I just took 2002 RSX-S in for a 45K checkup - really just an oil change, tire rotation, and brake fluid flush. Dealer came back and said coolant needed to be flushed (although manual says it is required at 120K), 2 tires are bad although I ... Read More

Yes, the type-R is better than the RSX-S, with 10 more hp (due to better gas, I think), and the limited-slip differential. However, the RSX-S is more luxurious... it has leather seats, which are too slippery and wide for me (as does the Integra type-S... which appears to be the RSX-S?). Lacks the visual appeal that the Celica and RSX buyers look for. The Celica represents the extreme-design car, while the RSX has that typical Acura palatable blandness, which is also unique - it hardly looks like a 300M in my eyes. The Tiburon? I did some programming for a while. Now I don't anymore; maybe that's why I need some more information when driving and listening to my CDs. (For the record, I'm against the ability to surf and drive.) Another use ... Read More
I've owned a 2000 Celica GT-S since its release, and have had a great time with the car. When my wife bought her new 2002 Acura RSX type-S (Blue) shortly after the release date I went on edmunds and furiously tried to defend my Celica on town hall. Stating the fact that I own both cars and did not feel that the Acura was any better than the Celica. Well, my ... Read More

Or all vehicle design and development follows the requests issued by black socks and sandals wearing focus group participants from the Midwest. Either way, Honda's latest offering is the much anticipated Acura Integra replacement, the Acura RSX. Artic Blue and White Pearl are ... Read More

Impressive driving on your part, I'm sure, but I'm not interested in racing a WRX--I'll be busy making money with mine (if I even buy one). Besides, at 3200lbs. the WRX needs to go on a major diet before it'll be competitive with hard-nosed club racers. You might want to keep a watch out for the STi version, though, when it arrives in 2002. Since this is the RSX forum, I ... Read More
