Re: About to lease a non tech 06 RL [69cv]
Hi 69cv. Acura is not currently providing any lease money factor support on the 2006 RL. As a result, if you were to lease one through Honda Finance right now you would have to use its standard money factor. Its current buy rate standard lease money factor is right in line with the number that you were quoted. This is a good sign because it means that the dealer that ... Read More...
Re: I still [markcincinnati]
When the RL was introduced it was the most interesting LPS car around for a little while. Yes it was small in the back seat and the trunk, and yes the styling was no reason to jump up and down. But its SH-AWD was, for AWD fans, really interesting--effective, geeky, and a big improvement on FWD handling. And don't forget that its 5.1 surround system was very unusual, ... Read More...
Re: I still [cstiles]
Oh yeah, Acura is also taking a gamble by rolling out Michelin PAX tires with the 2006 RLs. Again, in spite of its obvious safety advancements, the PAX system poses a "geek factor" that will only confuse many luxo-owners. Mark my words, Honda will face a little hearburn with the PAX system. But I applaud them for pushing the envelope in the name of safety. Why not ... Read More...
Re: I was [lexusguy]
"The RL just doesn't bring enough to the table, and people literally aren't buying it." 2001: For Acura, TL was up, selling 69,484 units. RL was down almost 28% from 2000. 2002: TL was down 12% from 2001,but is Acura's best-selling vehicle (60,764 sold). RL goes down another 12+% to 9,392. 2003: Acura finished 2003 with record December sales of 15,537 cars and ... Read More...

2006 RL
I just upgrade my beloved 2004 6 spd TL for an acura RL with tech package. What a car! It preserves all of the TL's dynamics, except for the furious acceleration (the RL is fast but not furious) while providing probably the most comfortable, quiet and refined ride in the industry. The AWD system is all its hyped to be, particularly in foul weather, making this without ... Read More...

Re: Acura RL vs. BMW 530xi [erfan]
I too have looked quite a bit at the RL and 530xi, though I've also considered the other players - GS300, A6 and M35. I currently drive an Acura TSX and am targeting something larger with AWD. Sporty pretentions is also a quality high on my list. I took a nice long test drive, alone, in the RL and came away very impressed. I thought it accelerated well, and handled adequately ... Acura RL Prices Paid and Buying Experience
New 2006 RL (Non-Tech Pkg.) $42,800 Incl Dest Fee.
Was able to get what I felt was a fair deal from my local Acura dealer (Lehigh Valley Acura, Allentown, PA). The only add'l fees were $140 Document Prep Fee (includes Title & Transfer fees but not State Sales Tax). Their service has been extremely good in the past and I'd rather buy locally if possible. Also took advantage of 2.9% financing which adds another 4%/year ... Read More...
Re: New 2006 RL Non Tech $40800 Radley Acura VA [gvr4wd]
I just called the internet sales manager and told the manager that I am ready to buy the car now and would like to know if he can do the deal. First he gave me $42K quote (based on some invoice discount) and them agreed to do the $40800 but tried to add $695 destination charge. All I told him was the price was not negotiable. It all happened in less than 2 minutes. He agreed ... Read More...
