.What is the repair record like for these 2006 Audi A6 3.2? If you got one, would you only go with a CPO? From what I've seen and heard, the latest A6 is supposed to be pretty good. There were a few minor issues with the initial '05s, mostly to do with MMI teething issues, but those were worked out by '06. How long do you plan to keep the car? ... Read More

If you like infiniti M then you probably can get 2006 CPO M35x on low 20's. I would NOT recommend Acura RL. I have 2008 MDX and 00 Infiniti I30.. 00 I30 has better build quality (Surprising but TRUE) I30 has better software logic (for example headlight go out/turn on when keys are in ignition NOT when the door is opened - every time -you go back to car to get ... It sounds like reliability and good customer service is very important to you. IMO both Lexus and Acura provide superior reliability and customer service. You might check out the ES or the GS. Heck, you could even get a 2006 CPO Lexus LS in the low 30's. I would certainly check it out. Despite various opinions you might get here, Consumer Reports is very high on the RL. Good luck ! ... I would agree that the RL seems cramped. The back particularly is much smaller then my M35X. The reason I do not want to buy the lease is that it is $29k to buy out and honestly, I do not know if I trust the infiniti brand in regards to repairs. I have had a variety of issues. What is the repair record like for these 2006 Audi A6 3.2? If ... Read More

Here is my question, i have been test driving 2006/5 RL's with around 35-38k miles and the $22-$24k price range. It seems like a nice car, but it is a bit tighter inside then the M. Does anyone have suggestions for other cars to look at? I really want AWD, and need to transport my family of 4. I assume you're not interested in just buying out your M35X? It seems ... Read More

You should also note that the current issue rates cars tested from each manufacturer and average rating, plus number of recomended cars verses tested models. Acura is second highest in average rating and the only manufacturer at 100% recomended. I own a trouble free 2006 RL, no problems except for the transmission in my 2002 TL-S, have a G35 Coupe (brake problems), 2007 VW EOS (no problems, no leaks), 1992 Acura ... Read More

Here's a link to the Consumer Reports Review: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/models/acura/rl/model-overview-4719-5696- - .htm As you can see for 2006 the RL has jumped UP a "spot" in all the following categories in terms of reliability: Transmission, Drive System, Climate System, Brakes, Body Integrity, Body Hardware. Many of these 1 spot jumps made gave the RL the top rating in that category. Power Equipment jumped UP 2 spots. The only category that gave it ... Read More

2007 RL with Tech package to purchase
Written by: carfan28 on Feb 22, 2007 3:35:26 PM
I've bought 2 cars from a local Acura dealer. My lease is about up with my TL. They offered to sell me a 2007 RL with Tech package for $45,436 - invoice/destination + $499. What do you think of the price? Might Acura start offering cashback for the 2007 RL like they did for the 2006 RL? I need to get a new ride by early May.

Drove home tonight in a black/ebony 2006 RL Tech/CMBS/PAX with splash guards for $100 above dead cost ($42,475 + TTL). Trade was acceptable and no cash changed hands; it was a skinny deal. Got the 4.9% financing for 60 months. Acura of Santa Monica is a little bit downscale as Acura dealers go but they beat my former dealer by a couple grand on the total deal. Sweet!!! ;)

I bought my 2006 RL a month ago; traded in a 2001 TL. I love the car and the way it handles, as does my husband (who is much fussier than I; he is about to lease an Audi A8 when his MB E320 lease ends). Thanks, Acurat! This certainly was the easiest car buying experience I have had. For once i didn't waffle around--this car or that one? The RL felt right when I drove it, and I opted for the 2006 because it came with the nav system and is essentially the same car as the 2007. I happened to notice that in the 2007s without the nav system, Acura is using fake wood--that is ... Read More

Yes, I know what you mean! The first offer on the trade-in was below what I wanted, but I held firm and they upped the price a little. I got the KBB "good" price, which is slightly above the Edmunds' trade in price for a "clean" vehicle, on my 2001 TL as well as a great price on the RL--so I drove off in it yesterday and love it. :D There ... When the RL was introduced it was the most interesting LPS car around for a little while. Yes it was small in the back seat and the trunk, and yes the styling was no reason to jump up and down. But its SH-AWD was, for AWD fans, really interesting--effective, geeky, and a big improvement on FWD handling. And don't forget that its 5.1 surround system was very unusual, and for those ... Oh yeah, Acura is also taking a gamble by rolling out Michelin PAX tires with the 2006 RLs. Again, in spite of its obvious safety advancements, the PAX system poses a "geek factor" that will only confuse many luxo-owners. Mark my words, Honda will face a little hearburn with the PAX system. But I applaud them for pushing the envelope in the name of safety. Why not save a few lives. ... Read More

RL was down almost 28% from 2000. 2002: TL was down 12% from 2001,but is Acura's best-selling vehicle (60,764 sold). New 2006 RL (Non-Tech Pkg.) $42,800 Incl Dest Fee.

Was able to get what I felt was a fair deal from my local Acura dealer (Lehigh Valley Acura, Allentown, PA). The only add'l fees were $140 Document Prep Fee (includes Title & Transfer fees but not State Sales Tax). Their service has been extremely good in the past and I'd rather buy locally if possible. Also took advantage of 2.9% financing which adds another 4%/year to bottom line since avg. ... Read More
