2002 Acura RL nav dvd upgrade
Written by: njalan on Oct 22, 2008 6:25:18 PM
I have a 2002 RL with nav but the navigation dvd appears to be outdated although it has been working since new from 9/2001. I went to my local Acura dealership (East Brunswick, NJ) to buy an up-to-dated dvd but was told nothing in stock (they don't carry this item at all). Collision Mitigation braking system is a seperate option. Dont know about the adaptive cruise control. Might be standard. PAX tires are rumored to be discontinued. That was the year it received a power boost to 225hp, which it needed after a big weight gain for the '99 refresh (and it was never a lightweight to begin with). Factory to dealer incentive gone?
Written by: mrrogers on Dec 11, 2002 3:23:58 PM
I checked the price of both a new 2003 RL and a 2002 RL at www.carsdirect.com, and they are both $39320. It appears the $4000 factory to dealer incentive is gone. Does anyone know if this is just a problem with the website, or has Acura sold out the 2002 RL's?

If I know 2002 RL can be bought around $35000, I probably would buy RL instead of my ES300. What is wrong with Acura? How can your MSRP be $10000 higher than TMV?

I just bought a 2002RL from my local Acura store in Overland Park, KS. I bought a non-navi model for $35,000. This is my fourth car to purchase from this dealer and they have been great to deal with and service has been excellent with all 4 cars. I am very pleased with the RL....it is put together soo much better than anything made in the states....no squeeks or rattles and ... Read More

My dealer has a 2002 RL(no Nav) what would be a good price? Of course they also have several 2003's. I like the quality of Acura and the fit and finish. Looking for a long term reliable car.

Nonexistent Acura Cust Service, Nav broken...

My TL I leased in 1998 experience was the reverse of that of my new 2002 RL! Not a thing wrong with TL. RL Nav is not fixable. Screen goes black for days at a time. It has been in the shop 3X for 3 weeks, Acura cannot fix it. I brought the car back to verify with my dealer. Customer Service in California does not return our calls! BEWARE of ... Read More

Actually, your figures are wrong. I took the volume numbers directly from the 2003 RL brochure. Look it up yourself, it's in there on the specs page. You can't get a more accurate source than Acura itself. If you still don't believe me go to acura.com (where the numbers listed are slightly different than the brochure, 96.5 passenger/14.0 cargo). Or take a look at kbb.com, where the figures are broken out. ... Read More
