Re: 2013 RDX tech or no tech - Need advice [newro]
Written by: newro on May 7, 2013 3:57:49 AM
I have a 2013 RDX w/o the tech package, have it since Feb. 2013. On the plus side the car is comfortable with a great ride and good in the snow. The negative: that dash board rattle that you have, so do I and its going to get fixed this service. The blue tooth simply is second rate, very un Acura like. I have had 5 TL's before this, the last ... Read More

I just took delivery of a 2013 RDX without tech package. I came out of a 2010 TL and have had Acura's forever. To my surprise, while pairing up my iPhone I discovered that you have to select a number to call from the phonebook manually, in other words no voice activation as I had with the TL. What a huge step back this is and honestly its downright dangerous as ... Read More

When I purchased a 2009 RDX in 2010, I had a problem matching my Bluetooth Motorola ATRIX 4G. Someone from ACURA mentioned there was a special department which troubleshoots phone/Bluetooth sync problems. I called and the customer tech rep I talked to was able to talk me through a rather complicated (phone) reprogramming sequence. The problem was fixed in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately I don't remember the department or phone ... Read More

Hello jaeroe21. This doesn't look like a very attractive deal to me. The dealer invoice price of a base 2010 Acura RDX is currently $31,113. If one subtracts the available $1,000 dealer cash from that it drops to around $30,113. That's nearly $2,500 over invoice after the acquisition fee is backed out. If I was in the market for this vehicle right now, I personally would shoot for a price of ... Read More

Current advertised offer in Los Angeles for a 2010 RDX 5 speed automatic (not tech package) is: $420/month payment 36 months $0 walk off 10k miles/year MSRP: $33,3800 (including destination) Net Cap Cost: $33,141.17 (includes $595 acquisition fee) purchase option at end of lease is $18,692 (is this the same as residual?) Is this a good deal? They don't list the money factor or residual on the site. Thank you!

You're very welcome, emmagee. Acura is not currently providing any dealer cash on the 2010 RDX, but it does have a special lease program on it. Though its "special" .00200 money factor for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier isn't really all that special. It's equivalent to an interest rate of around 4.8%. Sooner or later, maybe by 2010 MY, they will convert the engine to DFI w/CR of ~12:1, and either completely drop the turbo or simply detune/derate it, and thereby improve FE by up to 30% Maybe even an Atkinson/Miller/West cycle engine with ~50% FE improvement. One can hope/dream....
