I have a 2013 RDX w/o the tech package, have it since Feb. 2013. On the plus side the car is comfortable with a great ride and good in the snow. The negative: that dash board rattle that you have, so do I and its going to get fixed this service. The blue tooth simply is second rate, very un Acura like. When I purchased a 2009 RDX in 2010, I had a problem matching my Bluetooth Motorola ATRIX 4G. Someone from ACURA mentioned there was a special department which troubleshoots phone/Bluetooth sync problems. I called and the customer tech rep I talked to was able to talk me through a rather complicated (phone) reprogramming sequence. The problem was fixed in a matter of minutes. You might take note that the early Lexus RXes, '99-'00, had much the same issue, premature transaxle failures. In the case of the '01+ RX, Lexus changed out the VC fluid formulation to make it less functional and began using trac, frictional braking at the front, to apportion engine torque to the rear. With the advent of the RX330 the VC was dropped entirely. So, whereas Lexus went with the CHEAPER, ... Read More

dep, I agree that quote was crazy, but remember Acura pulled the $2500 cash incentive and interest rates, so 31-32k might be tough, even though we all know those are the numbers we have seen over the past few months ... I too am finally ready to buy and will probably no longer consider the RDX because of Acura's dumb decision to take away the cash rebate best bet is to ... Read More

that is ridiculous. there are plenty of RDX's on lots in so cal. we are in a recession, the worst auto makers have ever seen. it is truly confounding as to why Acura thinks they can play this type of game. pull the plug on great deals, in the middle of the summer, the best time to buy? before the 2010 model is even out yet? if they don't continue the ... Acura RDX vs Mazda CX-7

  • Re: resale value my friend [wwest]

    Written by: aviboy97 on Jun 23, 2009 10:34:58 AM

From the CX-7's transaxle to the rear the driveline is an EXACT duplicate of the Ford Escape, Edge, etc. That is incorrect. First, the Escape is 4WD, not AWD. Second, the Edge uses Ford's in-house built AWD system, similar to a Haldex FWD based AWD system. Mazda uses their own Active Torque-Split AWD, which is also a FWD based AWD system. So, they are similar in design, but they are not ... Read More

I anticipate product information will become available soon.We recommend checking the Acura.com website regularly for updates. • Hoping for suspension changes in 2010

I wish they'd moderate the suspension some. My wife love the 09 RDX in terms of amenities, looks and interior but absolutely hated the jittery, firm suspension. She passed but would reconsider if Acura softens it some.

Sooner or later, maybe by 2010 MY, they will convert the engine to DFI w/CR of ~12:1, and either completely drop the turbo or simply detune/derate it, and thereby improve FE by up to 30% Maybe even an Atkinson/Miller/West cycle engine with ~50% FE improvement. One can hope/dream....

I think you can get a good deal for the 2010. I've seen a pic of the 2010 and it looks ok. If you can wait for the 2010 then it might be great. It's going to have some new improvements like USB/iPod integration and stuff like that.

Do you believe is worth to wait for the 2010 model or should I just go ahead and lease the 2009 version? I have the feeling that I will not get the good deal for the 2010 model as the one available now for the 2009.

DCH Heart Acura in Wappingers Falls, NY (Dutchess County) has the lowest price in the NYC area (75 mile radius) ... internet price is $32K for RDX w/tech pkg but there's some bargaining room. Schaller Acura in Manchester CT is selling same for ~$32.9K (next best price I've found). The rebate has been extended to end of March. However, as others noted, the 2009 selection is getting pretty slim. BTW, the ... Read More

Acura MDX vs. Acura RDX vs. Lexus RX 350

  • Re: Acura MDX vs. RDX vs. Lexus RX 350 [ozzynyc1]

RDX is light enough that its suspension can be tuned for "sporty" driving. MDX is such an "old folks" "Queen Mary" that it cannot. At those prices, unless I saw real need for the SH-AWD system vs the new RX F/awd system (I don't) I'd be buying a new 2010 RX350 rather than a "cushy", too softly sprung, MDX.

Thanks for the feedback guys. From the dealerships I've visited so far, Acura does really seem to be drawing down their inventory of unsold vehicles by putting very few new vehicles in the pipeline. It certainly does seem to be a great time to purchase one if circumstances can't wait for the 2010s.

Sounds like there is another $1K or so they have to work with at least. Do you think that the Acura incentives will remain for the 2009's? Lastly, given the 2010's are not that far away - is ... Acura has decided to build a cheaper FWD model more more sales. That would make a nice base model. The gadgets should be upgraded. The Navigation system is all new for 2010. Apparently this will run at least until 2/2. Thanks for the info about the 2010 refresh. Hopefully this may mean there is more room to negotiate selling price, if they think people ... Read More
