Fantastic. Kudos to Honda/Acura for standing behind their product when they had no legal obligation to do so. My 2010 Advance with around 38,000 miles has been perfect so far. Couldn't be happier with it.

Hello everyone, I just purchased an 2010 Acura MDX Tech. It is a pre-owned certified from an Acura dealer here in IL. I am little confused regarding the extended warranty. Dealer is offering a 7yr/100K miles extended warranty for $1300 but the date of warranty starts when the MDX was originally sold as "new'. Therefore, this extended warranty ends in 2017. I asked the detaler what if I were to purchase ... Read More

With the newer models, 2010+, Acura is probably playing a numbers game. The failures will likely be primarily south of the snow belt, and for MDX drivers with somewhat of a lead foot. That's a really good price. If Carfax is clean and car is looks good, I'd jump on that.
I have a 2010 MDX and recently noticed the unstable RPM when driving around 80km. Many people complain about the transmission. My car has only 16000km on it. very disappointed with Acura. I paid almost $60000 for my car and didn't expect to get a car like this. Took it back to the Canadian dealer and they had no idea what the problem was. I would never buy another Acura.
I am looking at a 2010 mdx private sale for 32k (non tech package) but 10k more miles I'd be interested in a tech or entertainment at 36.5, dealer would be advertising at above 42 from what I'm seeing.
I am being offered a price of $36,300 on a Acura MDX 2010 Tech / Ent (all season mats, roof rack) with 14K miles. Please respond with your thoughts on the price. Is this good?
I want to know if owners of 2010 MDX or later have had transmission problems, even if covered by warrenty. If so, please give details. I may have a route to getting appropriate attention. But can't guarentee. Acura's behavior in this (even with older vehicles) is both inexplicable and damaging to a heretofore excellent reputation. Let's move on this.
Unfortunately we are seeing many MDX vehicles built in the early 2000s with this major issue. But now Acura has the same problem with vehciles after the re-do in 2010. What is of great concern is that the replacement (which I have after 30,000 miles) has not been redesigned. That, after all the replacements, is unpardonable.
I've had the same problem, and I think I avoided the runaround because i found the problem on this forum first---thanks Edmunds! You might take note that the early Lexus RXes, '99-'00, had much the same issue, premature transaxle failures. In the case of the '01+ RX, Lexus changed out the VC fluid formulation to make it less functional and began using trac, frictional braking at the front, to apportion engine torque to the rear. With the advent of the RX330 the VC was dropped entirely. So, whereas Lexus went with the CHEAPER, ... Read More

I bought new MDX last year. Now, it is on 8000 mile. I had tire rotated in 6000 mile. After that, car pulled right. Acura dealer said that there was no alignment problem. But, "I" found that abnomal tire wear in front tire which was on rear before tire rotation. Is this tire problem under warranty. Dealer did not want to replace tire with new ones.
I also have a 2010 MDX and unwisely ordered the NAV update. After following all directions on the install, the NAV doesn't work. In addition, many of the menu screens or buttons (e.g. cancel) now freeze or don't work. The software from Navteq destroyed the NAV system. Dealer now replacing the entire NAV system over a simple update. I would recommend against it at this point.

How much is TTL? We cannot tell unless we know TTL.
It was 47K in total out the door including 8K trade. I meant to say in the title it was a 2010 not a 2011. No matter, still new. I have the same problem. I just got the 480R with 1549 fit kit for our 2010 Acura MDX. Did you find out the correct measurements? I was going to call Thule, but they are not open till Tuesday.
Thanks appreciate the advice. Have been following it though. the MPG increase you list sounds encouraging - I assume your route has remained the same though in which case it's an impressive increase. Btw I did get a loaner car from acura. It was exactly the same (2010 tech) and interestingly gave me better mpg on the same exact route (so for e.g. instead of 8 MPG in my mdx, the ... Read More
