Re: Replacement Tires for '07 Acura MDX [pbartow]
My neighbor and I have 2008 MDX's with Michelin Latitude stock tires and they are horrible. After 12k in miles and halfway through the tread, they make a lot of noise now even perfectly balanced etc. They have taken from the car's enjoyment and the only fix is to spend on replacements for $600-900 as the 18"s are not cheap. Don't assume based on the above the Michelin's ... Read More...

2008 Acura MDX- My Opinion
After 25,000 miles on my '08 MDX Sport/Ent I though posting my opinion on this vehicle would be on interest to some. Overall, the '08 MDX gets a "A" but there are issues. 1. The dealership service experience is bad. I give it a "C-". When I took delivery the dealer scratched the roof when installing the roof rails. They nicked the window glass as well. Plus, they did ... Steering Wheel- Off Center
My 2008 Acura MDX Sport/Ent has an issue with the steering wheel being 3 degrees to the left of center on the highway. I have paid for an alignment already but the 3 degrees to the left persists. While not horrible I was wondering if a private alignment shop could tweak it a bit so the steering wheel is dead center when drivng in the center lane. Yes, I realize there is ... Read More...
Acura MDX Sport vs Tech. Opinions on Handling
Sport vs Comfort
2008 Acura MDX with Sport plus Ent- 25,000 miles. HUGE difference in Comfort vs. Sport mode. After driving the car 25,000 miles in the regular "sport" mode I switched to "comfort" setting. The MDX went from BMW to Buick mode. Nothing wrong with a Buick but I much prefer BMW mode. Heck, even in sport mode my MDX is "soft" compared to my friend's 2009 X5. Now that is a ... Read More...
Acura MDX Burning 1 quart of oil every 1,900 miles
Re: Acura MDX: burning 1qt oil every 1,900 miles [jt8]
Hi all, I have a 2008 Acura MDX with similar oil consumption issues. Starting at about 4K miles, I got the warning indicator for oil level and oil pressure. I took it to the dealer and found a service advisory that showed certain VIN's having a defective oil pressure sensor, mine was not in the vin range, but Acura replaced the sensor regardless. Now, at about 9500 ... Read More...

2008 Acura MDX w/DVD system
This white MDX has only 12.5k miles on it, can someone tell me what would be the reasonable private party price for this vehicle. Edmunds comes back with an estimate of 32k whereas kbb surpirsingly prices it around 37.8k Seller's offer is 36.5k and I am not sure if it's the right price. Any suggestions will be helpful.. Re: Acura MDX & car seats [soccerandlost]
Anybody who pays somebody else to install their car seats has too much money. ;) I think a lot of local fire departments, hospitals will do car seat checks for free. I will agree normally the center position is safer in general but in the 2007-2009 MDX I would disagree. The center does not allow for a car seat or base to be placed flat and secure, it always has a lot of ... Read More...
Acura MDX warped rear spoiler defect
Acura MDX - warped rear spoiler defect
I have a 2008 Acura MDX that I purchased new and have driven 10k miles in about 6 months. Last weekend when the thermometer hit 100F, I heard a crack as I started to open my rear door/hatch. I looked up and noticed that the spoiler appeared to have warped (possibly due to heat?) and dug into the roof. I closed the door and tried to re-open it but could not open it more than ... Acura MDX MPG Real World Numbers
Acura MDX mileage
I have approx 10k miles on my 2008 MDX. It is averaging about 18.8 combined city/highway. On long freeway trips we can easily beat 20 mpg, but stop-and-go suburban traffic and long traffic lights take a toll. Read More...

Re: 2008 MDX Tech Package in Southern California [scrapsz]
I think 35K for 08 tech is little too much Carsdirect is selling new 2009 for 40K in 92626 zipcode. I believe you can knock off another 1000 by negotioting directly. Couple of folks have bought new base (No option)for 35K from tustin and Acura of Mission Vijio....so 38-39K for new Tech with 3.9% APR might be a better way to go... If you want 2008 then try to get it in 32~33K ... Read More...
