It is now Sept. 2008 I would like to know if people think it is worth the money, and what are the things we should look for to go wrong. We are wondering ... Read More

I suggest you look up the Edmunds TMV (follow the links from the blue Used Car tab at the top) and maybe also post the details of each vehicle in our Real-World Trade-In Values. If you decide to post in that discussion, be sure to read the posting guidelines in red above the post box so that you provide all the necessary information. Let us know how it goes. ... Read More

Just as a price data point, we paid $3,000 in a private sale for a 1990 Acura Legend L Coupe / auto with 112K. Extremely well cared for with service records. I can't imagine paying $15K for a 95, even with only 55K mi. Way, way too high. between 8 and 10 depending on maintenance history.

Isn't the Legend really overpriced considering the model year and that it's the last model year ? can't be that many Legend loyalists paying all that money for it .. it is after all TWICE the edmunds private party price.

1995 Acura Legend GS Vs. 1999 Acura 3.2 TL
Written by: happyharry on Dec 16, 2004 11:02:12 PM
Can anyone advise me how to choose between a 95' Legend GS model (55,000 ml. good body and mechanical for US$15,000) or a newer 99' 3.2 TL for slightly higher mileage and around $16,000?? Which one is a better buy in terms of reliability, performance and re-sale value in 2~3 years time? Thanks.

1995 acura legend shifting problem
Written by: damos516 on Jan 4, 2004 8:41:26 PM
I have a honda accord and an Acura Legend. The Legend has a slightly hard shift from first to 2nd gear but each higher gear thereafter is super smooth. My Honda has a similar shift patter. However, with 250K miles on it, the Honda does exemplify a little more of a rough shift from first to 2nd. I took it to the dealer multiple times and each dealer stated that the ... Read More

I am currently looking to replace my wife's old car (1994 Chevy Cavalier - Teal) with a 1995 Acura Legend L. I'm wondering is the dealer giving me a fair deal. It's got all options for an L (leather, keyless, automatic, and cd changer). 54599 miles(??) What is wrong with the prior owners? Pay almost $40,000 for a car and not drive it?????? I've had it checked by a mechanic, they ... Read More

I have recently come into possession of a 1995 Acura Legend GS, with all the works, but it also has 130,000 miles on it. I've never owned Honda/Acura cars before, and would like to know if anyone knows of problems occurring with this model at this stage. It appears to be in excellent condition, and I have not had any trouble in the last couple of weeks I've driven it, but ... Read More

Legend AC problems
Written by: triumphant on Aug 25, 2001 12:41:07 PM
The AC compressor on my 1995 Legend coupe (6spd, 74,000 miles) just died. The Acura dealer says: "This is called 'Black Death'. You'll have to replace the whole system, compressor, evap core, EVERYTHING. Total cost should be about $2,500." $2,500?!?!? Has this happened to anyone else? It's August and I live in Austin, Texas, so fixing the AC is not an option, but, fer crying out loud, $2,500? Anybody else have ... Read More

Durability of Red Paint
Written by: luvthattiger on Dec 23, 2000 9:12:48 PM
Hello All... I am considering a 1993-1995 Acura Legend for a used vehicle purchase. After looking at several vehicles, I have some concerns regarding the durability of the San Marino Red color. The cars I have seen seem to show poor gloss retention and signs of white surface haze. Any comments from owners experience would be greatly appreciated. -ltt

55K 1992, speakers, rumbling, timing belt
Written by: apowell1 on Dec 6, 2000 12:42:27 AM
As mentioned before, I have two Legends, a 1991 with 120K and a 1995 with 50K. I have had the 1991 for nearly eight years, and just bought the 1995. They are really excellent cars, that is why I searched for a 1995 instead of buying new. They just don't make anything that compares in my mind except possibly a $40000BMW but that is too much to pay for a car ... Read More

D-4 Blinking
Written by: apowell1 on Nov 29, 2000 1:54:46 AM
I have two Acura Legends, a 1991 and a 1995. About two months ago, I had the problem described. The problem started with the speedometer suddenly going to zero and then back to normal. The next phase involved the D-4 light blinking. As with yours, the problem disappeared for quite some time and would then return. The problem was the speed sensor in the transmission. The cost to repair at the ... Read More
