Re: Transmission problems with 90 Integra [map5]
Written by: 90gs on Sep 9, 2005 11:55:02 AM
You're not alone by any means! My 1990 GS does NOT like to go into third from fourth (manual) but if I pop it into 2nd from fourth (without letting go of the clutch) and than shift into 3rd it goes inwithout skipping a step. I've heard of 3rd gear grinding and many other 3rd gear related problems with almost all integras 1990-2001. I'm not too worried because I wont be ... Read More

Re: Acura Integra
Written by: sandy10 on Jul 19, 2005 3:39:12 PM
Amazingly, I just read on the internet the 1999 Acura Integra is the No. 1 car stolen this year. But not only that, the 98 Integra is 3rd, the 96 is in 6 place, the 95 is in 7th place, the 97 is in 9th place, the 2001 is in 11th place, the 94 is in 14th place and the 2000 Acura Integra is in 16th place. Meaning the Acura Integra ... Read More

2001 Acura Integra
Written by: pkcheng55 on Jun 19, 2004 4:26:42 PM
We're trying to sell our 2001 Acura Integra LS coupe with Auto. It's light blue and has only 17,500 miles. Very clean, non-Smoker car and it is in very good shape except for a few of dings and a little scratch in back bumper. I’m in San Francisco, California 94112. We never buy or sell a car in private party before. Is $13900 asking price too much?

I'm being offered a 2001 Integra GS, 4 Dr, Auto, 10K miles for $17K (from an Acura dealer) in Houston, TX. Seems like a pretty reasonable deal to me, could probably get similar car for $16K in a private trade but am not having much luck finding one in Houston.

Acura Integra oddity
Written by: civic_cx_92 on Aug 3, 2001 11:56:31 AM
As you know Acura has decided to drop the Integra name for RSX. This has created a odd situation for Integra buyers who's deciding to buy new or used: Kelly Blue Book 'Trade-in' value for 2000 Integra LS 5-sp with 12k miles on it in excellent condition for $17,495 http://www.kbb.com/ Edmunds 'True Market Value' (going rate at dealers) for new 2001 Integra LS 5-sp dealers are selling for $16,650. http://www.edmunds.com/new/ Duh? ... white GSR
Written by: swynn on Jun 25, 2001 2:49:55 PM
Is it possible they just changed the name from Frost White to Taffeta White? if you go to the acura.com website and "build" an Integra online, Taffeta White is an option for the GSR. There is also a 2001 white GSR listed on the inventory for the dealership I bought my silver GSR from (www.proctorcars.com). I didn't know the silver was available on the GSR in Canada. It's interesting the little ... Read More

new GSR owner...
Written by: swynn on Jun 17, 2001 5:08:28 PM
wiwang, congrats on your GSR! I got mine at Proctor Acura in Tallahassee, FL. I got the silver, though I really liked the red also. I think 2001 is the only year they've made the GSR in silver, so I thought that might make it kind of unique. To tell you the truth, I haven't gotten my insurance switched over yet from the last car I had. I didn't get to ... Read More

LS/GS and GSR differences
Written by: steven975 on Mar 23, 2001 6:21:44 AM
Yes, the GS/LS has a 22mm front sway bar. The GSR's is 24mm, plus the GSR has an upper strut bar (Acura calls it a strut brace) AND a front lower tie bar (Acura calls it a performance brace). For 2001 though, all Integras have the same stock sway bar diameters...24 front, 13 rear.

Integra replacement release date
Written by: crikey on Dec 12, 2000 8:13:46 PM
Not sure if the '03 release date is accurate. The Acura MDX concept was introduced in the NAIAS last January 2000 and was released in the same year. I would not be surprised if they release the Teg replacement sometime late 2001. It could be the start of the way Acura does things.

1.)The LS Special Edition does NOT have a Type R suspension. Special Editions are LS models with the GS-R appearance upgrades, but not the mechanical bits. (In other words, the 140 hp engine, etc.) Honda does this a lot, like the with the Special Edition Accords (basically an LX model with a sunroof and alloys) 2.) In theory, the coupe would handle better than a sedan, simply due to the extra ... Read More

Thanx again Harry, well a salesman named “Daug” from Springfield Acura, NJ told me that they should be receiving the new Integras in September/2000. That’s why I decided to put money down cause he said if I didn’t there would be a long waiting list. But after you showed me a picture of the new possible 2001 Integra I’ve been thinking about getting my money back. Like I said before and ... Read More

Thanx Harry I got your picture. Too tell you the truth I didn’t noticed any big changes from the picture I saw in the website and the picture you sent me. Bottom line is both pictures looked really, really ugly, ill looking, ill-favored, heinous, terrible, nasty looking and whatever else you want to call it. I would be ashamed to drive this car down the street. I think the Acura Integra ... Read More

2001 Integra
Written by: rascal8 on Jan 31, 2000 3:51:09 PM
Post #179 has a link to the (supposedly) new Integra for 2001. I am sure Honda/Acura will do a great job with the engine and performance, however; IMHO this design is butt ugly. It looks too conservative and they stuck with the same headlight design as the current Prelude, which a lot of people don't like. Although, I remember when the current model Civic was released some criticized the design, the ... Read More
