Edmunds.com's Jessica Caldwell Named Top Auto Analyst for 2011
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — January 6, 2012 — Edmunds.com Senior Analyst Jessica Caldwell has won "The Top Analyst Crown 2011," awarded by automotive website The Truth About Cars. Caldwell earned the award for her team's pinpoint accuracy in Edmunds.com's monthly new car sales forecasts, which predict the year-over-year change for Detroit's Big Three (Chrysler, Ford and GM) and the Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rate (SAAR) for the automotive industry overall. Representing Edmunds.com's team of PhDs, statisticians and analysts, Caldwell placed first in three of the four months measured by The Truth About Cars in 2011, including last month.
"A lot of hard work goes into our monthly forecasts, and it is an honor to have these efforts recognized by The Truth About Cars," said Caldwell. "Our team puts in many hours and considers thousands of lines of data to make the most accurate and updated assessments of where the automotive industry stands every single week."
