Edmunds.com Staffers Reveal $50K+ Automotive Wish List in Honor of Facebook Milestone
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — October 4, 2011 — Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, has unveilved a list featuring its staff's picks of their most wanted new cars priced over $50,000. The wish list is published exclusively on Facebook to commemorate the Edmunds.com page's 50,000th "Like," which was registered yesterday on the popular social media site.
"Everyone has a dream car, and members of our staff at Edmunds.com found it fun to share theirs," said Michelle Magoffin, director of social media programming at Edmunds.com. "But knowing that these cars are out of the price range of most shoppers, we matched each vehicle to an affordable alternative under $25K. This is just another example of some of the fun but informative content that our 50,000 Facebook fans have come to expect from our page."
Edmunds.com's staff wish list ranges from high-end pickup trucks (Ford SVT Raptor Supercrew), to glamorous luxury sedans (Audi A8). The Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Scion FR-S and Mini Cooper S are among the less expensive alternative suggestions.
Edmunds.com is Facebook's most liked independent automotive site and its impressive social media portfolio, which was featured in the Los Angeles Times last week (http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-social-media-jobs-20110929,0,6158114.story), also includes a Twitter feed at http://www.twitter.com/edmunds that is followed by more than 25,000 users.
